I'm glad you guys enjoyed Tiffins. Were the portions big enough for the guys? And yes, I predicted it was going to be park attire in an upscale venue. So far for too many to go back to resort, return for a meal. I've seen that frequently at Cali Grill.
nice park attire is one thing cut offs and ripped denim is another. My dh and I left stuffed the human vacuums went to pizzafari

When we got our cheap tickets, it was in 2004. It was one of the travel tips I read about, instead of standing in line at TKTS.

Do you have a way to record them. Hubby watched the judo yesterday, and golf.

Glad you got a deal on the tickets back then. I'm still trying to figure out if you went to the theater's box office on the day of the show, because that's what I did--but no discount, even "day of".

Regarding your other helpful suggestion about recording some of the events while I'm at work, we don't have a DVR, and at this point, don't feel like spending the extra money for that add-on option on Direct TV. We're at war with Direct TV as it is, up here in my area.

If you haven't seen it yet, the fencer that lost his cell phone while fencing in the Olympics...priceless. My DS used to fence, and he thought it rather scandalous. I am sure his old teacher would not have been happy about it.

OMG--yes, I heard about this and watched the youtube video of Enzo Lefort, from France, during the foil. I was just beside myself, as was your son. Fencing is such a classic, dignified sport, and for this guy to be on the Olympics international stage and do something this stupid, is beyond my comprehension.

Volunteering at movie night tonight at the children's hospital for both DDs pediatric cancer foundation.
Fun, but, also, so very humbling. These children and families are going through so much.
Last year it was the original animated Jungle Book. Don't know what the movie is this year.

That's really touching that, along with your hectic work schedule (and I know you've been extra busy lately, as you've been way behind in "ketching" up), you donate some time to volunteering for a good cause. People like you will have a beautiful mansion in heaven, when you arrive there. (I think I'll be banished to the other side of heaven, to subsidized housing . . . :cautious: ;) . . . that is, if I even make it through the pearly gates at all ! )

I can crochet, I learned in 4-H and in home ec in school. My mom tried to teach me to knit and I made a dish cloth, but I don't remember any of it now. I do have all her knitting needles though, I thought I might try it again sometime.

It's a wonderful skill to have. My grandmother used to do all those types of things--crocheting, knitting, etc. She made beautiful items and gave them to all her children and grandchildren. I still have fond memories of her sitting in front of the TV, and knitting or crocheting.

(When I was about 10 years old, she tried to teach me knitting, and I didn't have the patience for it and wanted to scream! :hilarious: I kept knitting and then pulling out all my mistakes--finally decided this was for the birds. ;)) I wouldn't be adverse to trying it again, though, as an adult, but I don't know anyone now who does either knitting or crocheting.

My favorite line of the night

In line for RnRC, waiting to get in the briefing room, a CM says, "Fill in all available space. If the person in front of you is playing Pokemon, move around them.":hilarious:

Yesterday, while walking down the sidewalk on a busy side street in the city, I observed an entire family of foreigners (might have been either Japanese or Chinese--couldn't exactly hear what language they were speaking, as I was on the opposite side). They were standing IN the street (at the one moment when there were no cars--but with their backs to any oncoming traffic!!) all staring at their phones, all playing Pokemon Go, with the kids looking up and around toward a building off to the side.)

Sure enough, a truck comes whipping around the corner, and I screamed to them, "Get OUT of the street!!" They all looked startled (I don't know if they understood what I was trying to say to them) and then they heard the loud horn of the truck while he screeched on the brakes . . .

When will this fad move on?! Please . . .

The guide told us to use our imagination when looking at the pine trees in this picture. She said the trees had genetically mutated and all grew this way, but she said that if we used our imagination the trees might look like elephants, especially on the left. I kind of see it anyone else?

Some hydrangeas.

There was a maze too and that was pretty fun, only a few wrong turns.
