Oh wow. Never heard that before wonder what 65 degrees does to the unit? Color me curious.
It shouldn't do anything. They have thermostats. As soon as the inside temperature is equal to or lower then the outside air the compressor shuts off and just blows fresh air. They must have some strange advice givers in Colorado. I blame it on the pot.

EDIT: I need to make a correction. As soon as the inside temperature reaches the self-set thermostat, the compressor will shut off. If, of course, you have the thermostat set at "sub-zero" it won't shut off until it reaches that temperature, which it probably won't. That could be a problem and do damage to the equipment. Otherwise it will just happily turn itself on and off, compressor wise, for as long as you desire.

Today Hubby and I took a trip the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. He had done a wedding there a couple weeks ago and he thought I would enjoy it he was right. It has 1200 acres of gardens, prairies, and different wooded areas. And they do research gardening in junction with the University of Minnesota (they developed a special type of apples there known as the honeycrisp). I had never been there before and it was GORGEOUS! We took a tram tour first and the guide kept talking about all the different seasonal things that happen there. So as hubby and I were touring around we kept talking about how cool it would be in the fall, winter, and summer. So we ended up purchasing an annual membership which really wasn't bad ($80 for both of us, and it is usually $12 a person). Anyway, I thought I would share some pictures of the pretty ground with you. And I'm looking forward to sharing more as you move through the seasons!

There were featuring in some of the garden areas a Big Bugs exhibit with large wooden bug sculptures.

This is part of the prairie. Every fall and spring they do a prairie burn (to enrich soil and to kill of sappling trees from the forest so it remains prairie). The mowed area is the divide line one gets the burn in the fall and the other side in the Spring.

More prairie in bloom (it was overcast today so the pictures don't pop as much as they did in person.)

The guide told us to use our imagination when looking at the pine trees in this picture. She said the trees had genetically mutated and all grew this way, but she said that if we used our imagination the trees might look like elephants, especially on the left. I kind of see it anyone else?

Some hydrangeas.

There was a maze too and that was pretty fun, only a few wrong turns.

I gotta say, as annoyed as I can get with Disney sometimes, the little things they do are just plain awesome.

We went to SciFi. Normally I get the ribs, but after checking with the chef, the waiter said they changed the recipe to add pineapple, so I couldn't have it. I understood; it's an unusual allergy. Well, they ended up taking my milkshake off the bill. Just because of that. They really did not have to. I ended up giving the waiter a bit extra on his tip. For being so awesome. It's the little things that make Disney awesome.

That is pretty awesome of them. I was impressed with the Sci-Fi when we went in June. I would like to go again, perhaps next June. My sister is allergic to pineapple too, she says her mouth feels fuzzy and lips swell a little. It is a minor allergy so she still eats it sometimes because she loves it. Usually a benadryll is enough for her.

The pasta is very good. Their sandwiches are also really good. If we go for lunch, I might have a sandwich.

Yes, I have been going to the same school since I was 4 years old and so has my sister. We have some pretty close friends that have been at the school with us for a long time and also our Church. My Sister is going into the 11th Grade this year and I am going into the 8th Grade. I also love the teachers there and the small classes.
my baby is going into 8th

@gabe 1 Were you at Woodfield yesterday, by any chance? As I was leaving TJ's, I saw a car with a license plate that reminded me of you, and I thought, no it couldn't be. If it wasn't you, I'll tell you about it. If it was, I'll keep zipped up about it.

Well that was creepity. Yes I was during the day with my DD. :cyclops:

But I have a very generic plate nondescript letters and numbers, state standard issue so go ahead...you have my attention! :D

I'm not a big fan of his either. I admit he is a fascinating swimmer to watch and has achieved so much but there's something that just is a little off putting. I wouldn't want to hang with him at WDW.
I just really hope he never doped.
I have still fears of the cyclist armstrong, who denied doing drugs, yet.. he fell after being ratted by a teammates.
