So, I just revealed to Phil that I am taking him to Key West for his birthday next month and he was so happy that he has agreed to go back to WDW on the dates of my choice! Who-hoo!!

Getting ready to book but for when? Food and Wine? Holidays? Wait until next summer when more things will be open? Any opinions?

PS - I don't know when the hell I became sugar daddy of the universe, but oh well.........

PPS - Happy Saturday everyone!
Oh, Buddy.....I'm so happy for you and Phil. Both places will be so much fun. I like Disney at any time. But if Phil doesn't like crowds, I would avoid the holidays...more expensive too. The last of May is a lower cost to go, not the lowest, but lower. You might be able to do Flower and Garden. Smaller amount of food booth's but still plenty.

Have y'all been able to visit the resort since it opened as AoA?
When we stayed in a Cars family suite in July of '12, the only sections open were Nemo and Cars. Those two sections were very cool, but, we've not been back since The Lion King and Little Mermaid sections were completed.
We have stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms. Very bright colors and cute. Also very small. I do like the pull curtain that shields the bedroom from the sink area. I could get up earlier than hubby. Take shower in the bath area, and move to the sink and for a woman a makeup teeth brushing area. It worked really well for the two of us. I wouldn't put more than two people in that size of room.

I agree, allergies on vacation are terrible. Drink lots of water to flush the junk out of your body. A small piece of Dramamine, might help (less than a quarter of a pill.) It might get you by, without going to sleep. If that doesn't work, try a quarter piece. If you have never taken Dramamine. Don't go beyond that, until you see how you do.

Dramamine? I thought that was for motion sickness. Did you mean Benadryl?

Prairie dogs are native to Colorado. They carry the hanta virus, ( deadly to humans) and rabies. Also deadly. If he brings one home, take it to the vet to make sure it isn't carrying either disease. They can look and act perfectly fine, and carry both or either diseases. Just some friendly info.

No way i'm letting my husband bring a prairie dog in the house. He just likes to yank my chain, because he knows that I am afraid of most animals. I told him if he does, he better pack his suitcase, because then they can both leave. Then he and my grandson tease me about being afraid of everything. At least my parakeets are a common household pet that has been giving people enjoyment for more years than I've been around. These exotic animals that pet stores tempt people to buy is a ridiculous practice.

August is usually very hot and humid. Have you seen the neck cloths that have beads in them? You put it in cold water, ring it out and put in the refrigerator. This will keep you cool for a couple hours, go to the restroom put under cold water, it will become instantly cool again. We have use those for years. You can usually order on line, or a Sports store.

I borrow a washcloth from the hotel room, and I carry it with me to the park. Cold water on the neck, helps. I also have my headbands, instead of wearing a hat all day. A hat makes me perspire more, whereas, the headband catches the perspiration.
