My husband keeps telling me to stop stressing over what my vacation is costing me. He says just go, and have a good time. Now, we have three character meals, and those are quite costly. However, I'm thinking how much the kids are going to like interacting with the characters. For sure the girls especially will love the princesses in Norway. Epcot has lousy fast passes, but we do have fast passes for the new Frozen ride. We may end up spending more time in Future World, than in World Showcase at Epcot, since we have a late breakfast, and I am planning a later arrival to the park. I can't do rope drops every day like I used to.
I'm right there with ya, on rope drops. When we go in June, and take the family, they do rope drops, so we do too. When it's just hubby and me....we never make rope drop!

Happy doughnut Saturday!

The dog was super excited as we haven't gone to get doughnuts for a couple weeks. And she get her dog treat at the coffee shop too. She actually stood up against the window in the car until the girl at the drive-thru window asked if she wanted a dog treat. Then she got down and was all ready for her treat in the backseat.
I want the chocolate with sprinkles!

Sorry the chocolate ones are hubby's, the filled ones are mine, and the plain one is the dog's. I wipe off the extra sugar for her. Hubby would probably share with you though. Kapono had to share with her cousins and she didn't like that. They loved it, I hope they don't tell their mom. I should be safe with that since they are dogs!

My friend Annette has given me enough Disney gift cards to cover her part of the character meals. I will cover mine with the money on my Disney Rewards card. Annette, being a waitress, hates separate checks. So I volunteered to do the actual paying of the checks/bills in the three table service restaurants that we are eating at. That works for me. So much less of a hassle. Annette was super excited when I told her this morning that I had gotten an ADR for dinner with Mickey. Her eyes lit up.

You are so sweet to include the doggie. We used to get our dog's hot dogs from A & W.

A question for all you legal drinkers out there...

Tuesday will be my first time in Epcot since hitting the big 2-1. So my question is...where to start? I don't like beer, but I enjoy pretty much anything else. I prefer sweeter drinks or tangy drinks, and wine is always a hit.

Thanks!
LaCava inside Mexico, has good margarita's. I like the classic, I hear the mango (if they have it) is good too. I've never tried that, though. If you want a frozen drink, the outside margarita stand, offers some too. They are pretty weak, and are frozen version. You can get a floater, to be poured on top of the frozen, and stirred in. The frozen slush at France is much better, if you like a vodka based drink, and they offer usually a flavored one. Those are tasty. Other's will have to fill you in on wines, I can't drink wine. Migraine. Hope this helps. Thanks for letting me be the first to corrupt you!;););) enjoy!

At Betty said La Cava is a good place for a margarita. I like the avocado one it is smooth and has a great melon taste to it. If there aren't spots to sit inside you can get a margarita to go at the bar.

Since you like wine, I have enjoyed getting wine in one of the shops in Italy (sorry I forget which one it is) and taking my glass out to a bench near the water and enjoying the view. Germany and France also sell wine by the glass in one of their shops.

France has the vodka and even better (I think) the Grand Marnier slush. It is orange and wonderful I think you can get a blend of the slushes too.

Inside the Rose and Crown is fun to hang out and there are cocktails there too, not just beer. You can also order some "light" snacks like a scotch egg and chips at the bar in there.

Japan has sake tastings in the store, or at least they used to.

Loved Jock's, Skipper Canteen and the Nomad Lounge! We didn't try Tiffins, but I think the kitchen is shared with Nomad lounge. I really could go for any of these right now.

Mr Ferret 75

I like:

Both Grand Marnier's from France. Lime better than Orange but my kids prefer the Orange

Mexico, inside bar La Cava, the margaritas in this order of my personal favorites

Cucumber
Blood Orange
Avocado (I do not taste avocado when I drink this flavor, to me it has a melon taste.)

And my overall go to drink 'cause it doesn't pack a punch

Germany-white wine
Liebfraumilch it is a sweet dessert wine that pairs so well with and yumminess from Karamell-Küche as does the...
Riesling it is just slightly drier.

I've been know to get 2 glasses of wine, enough to walk the entire WS for me. I put it in a cup I bring that has a top and I can sip along all evening.

I have not tried any of these yet but the next time I return to the World out of those it will be Nomad Lounge and at least an adult beverage from Jock's. The reviews I've seen on a whole of the Canteen I'm kinda underwhelmed. Tiffins I'm not likely to eat there. I didn't like the menu, portions or the prices. If that changes I of course would reconsider that.Still for a TS I am a big fan of Yak and Yeti. There are so many signature restaurants that I believe deliver more ambiance and better values for the price. I'd like to return to Flying Fish again someday.

Do you know if the Frozen Margarita stand came back to Mexico? It was removed but was rumored to be returning in a better location and a larger stand. Admittedly I didn't follow up on the progress of the Frozen Slushies.
