I am trying to figure out the best way to pay for our three character meals at the restaurant. I hate dividing up checks in the restaurant, and fumbling around for proper funds from everyone. Basically, it's me and 5 other people from the same family. I am thinking of using my room charge, which I have never used before. Also Annette has a certain amount of Disney Gift Cards, and if we earmark those for the character meals, that should make things easier for everyone. I need a plan ahead of time. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Just talk to the server and they should be able to do separate checks without a problem. Then you won't have to worry about the math part (I hate math). And you can charge and they can use whatever.

We've have done Christmas Eve dinner at Chef Mickey's. It was a good place for that. With Christmas Day being so nutty, we do Ohana's for Breakfast, Epcot during the day which by the gift of space isn't so bad and then we head to Ft. Wilderness to Hoop for their Christmas show for dinner. It has been many years now since we've done the Holiday's there but we did find good ways to enjoy and manage the crowds at meal time.

Wow it sounds like a fantastic way to eat and spend Christmas at Disney. I told hubby if we ever have a Christmas Eve/Day where he doesn't have to work we will spend it at WDW. I think it would be so awesome to do the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve. And if we did that we would probably eat at the Biergarten. But unless he changes churches, which we aren't looking to do, we will have to wait until retirement. For some reason, I think the congregation expects the pastor to lead services on Christmas! So they wouldn't be happy with him taking vacation that day.

Happy doughnut Saturday!

The dog was super excited as we haven't gone to get doughnuts for a couple weeks. And she get her dog treat at the coffee shop too. She actually stood up against the window in the car until the girl at the drive-thru window asked if she wanted a dog treat. Then she got down and was all ready for her treat in the backseat.

The announcement happened when I posted a picture of the castle this morning.

I thought someone would question me when I was posting at 5 am and said I was in line for Starbucks given you all know I'm not a morning person, but no one questioned.

In the back of my mind I thought you guys were heading back to WDW in August and I did note the hour you were at Starbucks when reading that post. My thought was I'd be at Starbucks too if I had to get up that early to go to work. Off to Disney didn't enter my mind.

Whelp, if I am ever in line at Starbucks at that absurd hour again, you'll know.

We were actually waking up to leave the house at 3 am. :jawdrop: No one got out of bed until 10 am today.

We walked up to Plaza today and had lunch. And here are my thoughts (Note: it's been a while since I've eatten there)

We got there at 11:30. We were told it was a 30-45 minute wait. They text you when your table is ready (pagers are also available) and you have to come back within 15 minutes of receiving the text. If you change your mind, you just text them back. 30 minutes was an overstatement. It was more like 5 minutes. When we left at 12:30, there were empty tables.

We just did entrees (no appetizers, no dessert). My parents had the Plaza Club, which was plenty for them. I had the Chicken Sandwich, which was very good. My brother had the kids grilled chicken strips (not breaded) and liked them.

There were too few fries, and they downed the quality of the fries. They were fine, but nothing spectacular.

Bottom line: the food is good, and it was nice to take a break from the park for a while, but not worth going out of your way for.
Thanks for the review, we were thinking of doing a walk up.
