I just scored a 5:50 dinner reservation for Chef Mickey's on the first night of our vacation. I have eaten there plenty of times. However, no one else has. So when I saw the reservation, I scooped it up. Someone must have cancelled, since this is just 20 something days away. The kids will love it.

I've only eaten breakfast at Chef Mickeys and we really enjoyed it. It was just my husband but it was fun to watch the kids reactions at the tables around us. I would like to do dinner but hubby is a huge breakfast fan, so I can't talk him into that yet. Have fun!

Doesn't make you strange in my book at all. DS does daily jazz on his FB page. Yesterday, he did a big write up for Louis Armstrong's birthday, and the selection was Sleepy Time Down South.

It was strange in my family. Dad listened to Old Time Country (Willie Nelson...), Mom was into the music of her youth like Beach Boys, and my sister was a rocker (Metallica). I guess I ended up liking lots of music.

Happy to see whatever photos you want to take. I'll definitely check out your TR once you've posted it when you return.

Yes, indeed, if you go to Kennedy, I'd love to see those photos. Back in '85 my mother and I went there--it was very exciting. I'm sure there have been some updates, etc. since then, so I'd be curious to see how it looks now. (Funny you should mention the food, because I wasn't thrilled with the food concession there either--back then it was all deep fried stuff which really turned us off, especially in the hot weather of Florida. We wanted something light, but that didn't happen! Still, no big deal--it was just one meal out of all the days we wee on vacation.)

As you know, I too love the history of flight and space travel (and the future of it all, for that matter ;)).
We've been to JSC in Houston and seen the original Mission Control, a Saturn V rocket, etc. Very cool stuff. :)
Never been to KSC, but, it's on the list.
I still watch the old "Man in Space" and "Man and the Moon" Disneyland TV show episodes on YouTube pretty regularly before I go to sleep at night.
And, I've also recently found a documentary I like; "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow: The Futurism of Walt Disney". :)
