Our first attempt at giving our birds fruit today was a total failure. My husband and I have totally different feeding strategies/ideas. My idea did not work, so tomorrow we will try something different. Spin is definitely the dominate bird. The birds do love the mirror, and it is fun to watch them watching themselves. Marty is especially funny, as he gets himself in all sorts of strange configurations. He hasn't figured out that that bird, in the mirror, is him. He's looking for a bird behind the mirror. They do share the mirror pretty evenly between the two of them taking turns.

So hubby made it home safe. I'm going to eat my popcorn soon. He didn't bring home Lou malnatis pizza, instead he brought home Giordanos. I don't care for that brand as much, he said he got confused and thought I didn't like Lou's. So instead of calling, texting, or emailing to clarify, he just got the wrong one. Men. :(;) Good thing he got the popcorn right! Oh and good thing he is home. :inlove:

Do you have any stainless steel in your kitchen? You might try licking that (after cleaning, with vinegar), I've heard that stainless will kill the garlic on your hands. I have a stainless steel mixing bowl. I've never tried that , but it can't hurt. I wouldn't lick the sink or anything like that!;)

No stainless except the sink, but the garlic is gone now. Unless I just grew used to it.

im going to try, but I swear its my internet provider.
and guess what?

The technicians came back today. And they explained what the hell was going on.
They told all I found to one of the top engineers, they sent a group to the ISP's main office in this area (where all the connections are, all the routers, servers..etc..)
And they exactly found that what I had said was true. They had faulty equipment and wrongly configured equipment making things worse.
But i did not expect it to be so many hardware to be damaged. So they told me top engineers are now going to be fixing all the mess in my zone.. and hopefully by next week the internet is going all normal working in the way it should have.

Thats a relief.

In other news.... I bought my planet tickets, going to Houston next week to buy my implant. going to be 5,000 USD in the hole debt wise.. but the implant processor is worth it.

As for me, even as it hurts my darn ego..

Great idea, only thing, our points won't go as far!

But better than no Disney at all. My understanding though is Zika has very little effects on people in general. It is the birth defect reality. If your DD is past having children, I'm thinking your Grandsons are way too young to be fathering any children to pass on the virus....there is little risk to your family dynamic from my understanding anyhow.

We didn't plan at all before going to Disney. It was usually a spur of the moment thing. We drove and just went when hubby could take a few days off. We were on a very strict budget back in the day. Just after college, a small child, and debts up the wazoo....insurance didn't kick in , when baby was born, she was three days early, and we weren't covered under my work insurance until 3 days later. I'm glad things turned around after many lean years. We didn't stay in a Disney resort, and only did a couple days, and went to Silver Springs, or the beach. Those were cheap and fun too.

We stayed on and off sight when I was a child. Hotel Row had some nice alternatives. My sons first 2 trips were off sight. Then the first moderate opened. I believe it was $89 for the fall pricing. Well within our budget. We never stayed off sight again. We budgeted $100 cash a day and never spent it all. We can't even buy park tickets for what was included in our first trip with my son, tickets, airfare, hotel, rent a car (off airport site car) and a complimentary breakfast and a visit to River Country. There were just two parks that year but the next year the studios was open. The first year we supplimented with Sea World. I still have my booking receipts for all my trips. Our last family trip was with 4 booked without discounts was $7500 at POR with park hoppers at POR. Our first with 4 was 2300 and that one included airfare.

We had some mighty gaps during those college years. I was more fortunate than most of my family as I got to go for short trips to see my son, take my DD for her sweet 16th, back to see son several times and for my DD college grad. Amen to college being done with.

I wonder how long until you have to give a kidney or a cornea to pay a vacation there lol.

We have gone for years, and have never had an upgrade. Maybe on our 50th, in 2018!

POR is a draw for moderates now and FQ somewhat. When it happened it was a holiday week, 4th of July. AKL was relatively new and out in the middle of nowhere. When we stayed there were so many empty rooms and no timeshare at the time. I think they likely wanted to open up more room at POR for additional guests for the holiday and just shoved a bunch of us over to standard view rooms. When we arrive they moved our assigned room across the hall to a pool view and I could see some critters from there too. I really like AKL when I'm in the resort however I'm not overly impressed with the critters

I think we are there for the middle class anyhow, especially those who have children. It was almost a decade ago that it was $7500 without including spending money. That was a semester of college tuition. We bit the bullet and chose college. We did so many long trips throughout their childhood and it was expensive but doable. I'm glad we did it, it was great family time and with my kids being so far spread apart in age it was a destination that worked for everyone. No regrets. Still, I've never added up what my bank account has given Disney in return. I'd likely have a stroke.

Give it time. New foods, new home it is a lot for them. It might not be your strategies or ideas more just time for them to adjust to their new surroundings and each other.

Oh Goodness. Posted on Daily Mail....handed to parents of incoming Kindergarteners in Hamilton County, Ohio. One mother posted the list on Reddit and added 'I have failed to prepare my son for kindergarten,' the mother wrote.

Me, I read through half the list and spit my coffee. :banghead:

I'm thinking the parents should write a list. The things a Kindergarten teacher should know before she is allowed to teach a 5 year old and create a list.
