The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

Tomorrow is laundry day once more. I sure hope my foot feels better tomorrow than it did today. We had to drop off our grandson's computer at the service center today. Normally, I would bus it there, but my husband drove me. The computer would not turn on at all.

Good morning chit chatters! I hope you had a good weekend! I'm going through a little Disneyland withdrawl today especially since our annual passes officially expired yesterday. :( And for some reason it has been tough to adjust back to Central time after being on the west coast, I've been dragging a little. I guess I'm getting old. I planned to get up early take the dog for a walk and clean my porch. Instead I woke up around 8:30 had my coffee and now don't feel like getting anything done. I think I will allow myself another lazy day and tomorrow I'll get something done. My dog doesn't seem to mind another lazy day! :)

Hope you relaxed. Too soon you will be back to a routine that doesn't allow for that.

I don't do well loosing hours. I loose them going to Disney but when the parks close early I still have energy those first few full days. Not so much the first night as we are usually up by 1 or 2 am to head to an airport. Coming back from WDW is nice to gain the hour back though I've had very bad luck with delays this past decade out of MCO due to thunderstorms.

It is the citronella based. I'm hoping the mosquito's won't be a problem in October.

I have not heard much chatter the last month about mosquitos at WDW. Maybe they stepped up the patrol. They don't need more distractions, sadly the alligators did that, they can ill afford news hype of Zika contracted on a Disney vacation. Just think of the amount of people in childbearing years in those parks.

Garlic if you are a fan is one of nature's repellants. Eat enough of it daily and the little boogers stay away from you. Apparently they do not like the smell of it omitted through pores. Downy dryer clothes are another weird thing. Some people rub one on their clothing. Sometimes it is enough to make them find someone else.

I stopped buying a refillable mug about 6 trips ago. I'm not a soft drink drinker, and I bring my own mug with me for my tea, which I drink all the time. I saved my resort specific mugs for a long time, but I finally even got rid of those. Can't keep stuff forever, or my house will begin to look like a flea market.

I have decades of mugs. I still have the large ones of yesteryear. My favorite large ones are from AKL and Dixie Landings. Both have so many details. We are not big pop drinkers but we drink many a cup of coffee or hot tea. I don't like the one cup coffee in the resort rooms, I find it harsh and bitter. Usually mug number 3 goes in a disposable paper coffee cup with a lid for our bus ride to the parks each morning.
I send a box to the resort, paper cups is one thing that goes in the box.

My walk to the pet store this morning made my foot hurt even worse than it had before. The inserts from the doctor/podiatrist are super hard, and my heel is screaming at me. So I have taken some ibuprofen, and staying off my foot. Good chance to catch up on some crocheting.

I have to have excellent support in my running shoes. Rarely do I have issues anymore since I learned to buy quality shoes for everyday wear. I on other hand put inserts into my other shoes I wear here and there or my feet hurt. I have had very good luck with these.
There is the hard insert for the arch area, cush for the ball of the foot and mega cushion for the heel. About $6 a pair from Target or Walmart. I even put them in my brand new sketchers. While I rarely wear sketchers anymore or other shoes, If it isn't my Asics on my feet the shoes I'm wearing have these inserts in them.

It probably saves 1 cent per cup. So they must do it.

You're not wrong. If they have the mold which could cost a couple hundred thousands dollars, the raw plastic is cheap. I heard someone mention that it is possible that the handle mold could have crashed. It can take a month to repair in order to get it online again or 6 months to make a new one. The 'word' later in the day is it is a "test" to see how guests would react. That leads me to believe it is plausible that it is a manufacturing problem. Maybe they are waiting to see how many guests balk before they order a new handle mold. Wouldn't surprise me.

In other news, I got another NO for the tradeup. Its done, he's the higher up I can go.
The ironical thing is, he even told me to do a "gofundme" campaign to get funds.
And I asked information about it and its complex as hell, you have to show for taxes, have US based bank account, and many other things x_x

I'd go to the implant conference group. Social Media. Every news station has a consumer plight department that advocates for those wronged. Can't hurt. Someone is likely to pick it up. I'd start spamming them all. Pressure from the media might make them change their minds. Especially if he has made the callous remark of go fund me.
Got to think outside of the box for hope. That is where support groups are useful.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

But with no handle it will now fit into the cupholder of my car when i get home :cautious::cautious::cautious: just sayin
