so I had to replace my windshield (again!!) Joys of highway and being behind trucks (I try to avoid them). They couldn't save my inspection sticker so I'm at a loss what to do. I called my mechanic where I got it done and he said they don't give out new ones. Who knew.
Sympathy like. If you have to pay for a new inspection do you at least get a full year?

We booked a hotel for the day we check out of the condo. It's in Orlando not out on the coast. What? Orlando is cheaper than anything nice out on the coast so why not save some money. That day was going to be for last minute shopping and taking our time going to the coast so my dh figured a morning commute to KSC isn't too bad and we haven't scheduled in a date night so the place we're staying is right near UNI. If nothing else we'll go to Citywalk for dinner and grab a cab back. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get home LOL

Someday I'd like to try the 4 park challenge. It isn't rare for us to do two parks in a day, actually very common. On weird days with weather we will sometimes hit 3. A couple years ago we had the best day with rain hopping to three parks. We managed to hit some great attractions during downpours, come out to breaks in rain and repeat. All the stars aligned in our favor even though it rained from around 8am till 5pm.
We ended it with AK walking onto everything with zip wait and concluded our day at Flame with ribs. 4 parks is on my bucket list.

He became my special Rib slurping friend at Flame. I know you are not suppose to feed but you know when your choices are to feed or be attacked. I shared. He was grateful, as was I.

I'm getting a bit of peace and quiet for a couple of days this week and it's only costing me a bit of cooking. All I have to do is feed my mother in law dinner tomorrow and send her home with some left overs and she'll take the boys for a few days! She forgot about our trip and thought she's see them more before school starts back:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: How could she forget?????? I think when the word Disney comes out of one of our mouths she just tunes out:eek::eek::eek::eek: She's one of those people who says "you're going again?":eek::eek:

I had my foot xrayed, and the doctor thinks I have a heal spur. However, I also got a referral to a podiatrist, who I am seeing on Tuesday. I want to know one way, or another, exactly what I have. The doctor I saw today mentioned a cortisone shot. I will talk that over with the podiatrist when I see him on Tuesday. I have heard/read both positive, and negative about that treatment.

My trip is 38 days away.

That's a drag about your foot. One time, I had something called "frozen shoulder" and could hardly move my shoulder without pain. A doctor gave me a cortizone shot and it was like night and day after that. My shoulder felt great and I had full range of motion. I think the shot lasted maybe 1-2 months, but in this case, all I really needed was time to stretch out the muscles daily, and the cortizone (numbing out any pain) allowed me to do that. So by the time the cortizone shot actually wore off, I was fine because the muscles had stretched/healed back to normal.

All I know is that the doctor has to inject the shot at the proper location, and usually they do. I have heard of some instances where they miss the exact location. So I can only share my own experience with you, and hope for the best in your own situation.

Now this lunacy may vary from state to state, but I was just thinking: don't they give you some sort of paperwork (an itemized bill, for example) when you have your car inspected and get the sticker? Actually, I recall that when they put on the sticker, they give you a document showing the inspection process, and it lists your car's VIN, etc. I have a file at home of paperwork relating to anything at all that we do to the car. Do you have any receipts that you could pull up, and maybe call the registry in your state, to ask for some sort of waiver? It doesn't sound right to me that if you had something fly off a truck and damage your windshield, that you have to go and get the car inspected again and pay the fee.

One of the few things that North Carolina got right. You have to have your car inspected to register it yearly. You don't get a sticker, the report goes directly to the DMV, if it passed you can renew, if not, back to the old drawing board. No stickers to worry about.

Here you have to get your inspection done within 60 days of renewing you registration, so there is a time constraint to that, but, then again it is something you do. It gets expensive here to, because there is the cost of inspection ($35.) and then the registration ($40., approx) and when you pay for the registration you also have to pay property tax on your vehicle (based on the current book value of your vehicle, yes, every year) that can get pretty expensive all at once, especially if repairs are needed on the vehicle for it to pass inspection. Car ownership is not for the weak of heart or the light of wallet.

Thanks for the positive feedback. When I go to the doctor on Tuesday, I will have a whole lot of questions, before I let him give me a shot. I have been reading as much as I can about heal spurs. The problem with that is I believe more people are willing to tell about the bad experiences than the good ones. Than the bad ones scare me off.

I had fallen so far behind in my laundry detail. I gave my truck to my DD again today as she had a meeting in one place and then managing at her second job at the WaterPark this afternoon and needed the A/C in a vehicle far more than I did once again. So I ran my one erron really early this morning after I figured out my partial power failure. I can say with a small sense of accomplishment I plowed through the clothes, blankets, towels and spring coats and have almost completely caught up on laundry detail all because I was was avoiding the hot humid weather. Upside, 90's even with humidity dried the hang dry clothes very quickly.

I did a load of laundry yesterday too but it was so humid I was afraid it would take too long to dry outside so I just popped time in the dryer. They probably would have dried okay, but I also didn't want to upset the dog. When clothes are hangin on the line she thinks they are something to bark at! :)

Whoa, slow your roll and don't kill the messenger. I'm sorry someone pee'd in your Wheaties today but I was just pointing out to Cesar that you didn't need to be 25 to get a credit card, which I thought was what he meant. I didn't need the condescending history lesson but thanks anyway.
Nope, that was not my point.
I also had my first CCs when I has 16.
I mean that they use an arbitrary age and not "paying age" or even if you had a CC or not to let you rent a room in certain hotels.
