Place: Salatore's Pizzeria
Time: Just now

Me: So, if I was to book a trip, would you prefer food and wine, maybe the holidays,or would you want to wait for next year?

Phil - I would rather be water boarded than go back there!!!

And, scene.

Oh so sorry to hear that. It sounds like you should just plan a solo or friends trip without him. Then when you return you can rub in how much fun you had. If you go at Food and Wine or even Flower and Garden you can show him all the fun food and drinks he missed out on.

Sympathy like or take me and @ajrwdwgirl so you don't get in any trouble:D

Maybe he wouldn't get into trouble but I can't guarantee about you and I! ;):hilarious::joyfull:

Good morning, today's family reunion was postponed due to heat. So I'm going to finish the baking for our trip and then hit the pool. Muffins are now done and starting on the filling for the calzone like sandwiches

How hot is it going to be? We have been in the low 80's basically since I got back from Florida. It was a relief from the heat and humidity of Florida, although don't get me wrong I'd rather have heat and humidity than winter weather! I think it is supposed to get in the 90's here this coming week, which sounds about right since most of the county fairs are going on this week and all those animal barns will become sweatboxes (eek!). At last you can use the day to help prepare for your trip. Those calzone sandwiches sound interesting and may have just helped me decide what to make for lunch.

@songbird updated closing for MK midnight for all of your trip. The boys are going to love the until 2am EMH night! My dh not so much

2am, that isn't for the faint hearted. If I plan on staying out that late I for sure need a nap midday.

11 years ago today, I entered Disneyland for the very first time. So today is an anniversary of sorts. Disneyland became my happy place that day.

I don't ship things back from Disney very often. Like their website shipping is ridiculously expensive, unlike most companies who give a break or free shipping Disney increases charges the more you spend despite the size or weight, bonus very slow shipping. We found this to be the case with online ordering too.

Most of what I shipped over the years was breakables. If Disney ships they quickly replace items that arrive broken unlike if airlines break the stuff. My entire dinner plate etc collection is Disney kitchenware I collected over the years long ago. I'd buy one or two a year, always different (back when everything wasn't generic.) I have an eclectic set of 14 ranging from Pooh to Minnie Mouse and everything inbetween. I also have a thing for salt and pepper shakers gathered over the years. My house is pretty free of Disney themes but they do pop out of cabinets for my fix.
Yep same with us. We use the Disney shipping for the breakable stuff we have gotten at the Park (Christmas Ornaments, etc). We set a budget before we go. Usually pay cash out of pocket for breakfast and lunch. Credit card for dinner (we had 2 fraudulent charges a couple of years ago on a new card - either the number was grabbed there or at the Holiday Inn Express/Park and ride), Magic Band for purchases, tied back to the same card. We figure that way we're pretty protected if we have an issue with any of the items. We just pay off the credit card when the bill comes.

More of an addition. I'll pick them up Friday when the car goes in for a pre-trip oil change:) Even the car has a list:D

Thankfully, I don't hafta' concern myself with car lists since we always fly, and DWifey and oldest DD take care of all the planning, which isn't ever too crazy. We just, mostly, follow their plan, but, are very flexible when need be...! :)

Our local High School Marching Band has been invited to NYC for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. The staff and higher ups at the school are all excited about it. It is an honor. All the parents I have talked to just roll their eyes and struggle to say, "do you have any idea how much this is going to cost us to send our kid(s) there?" The point... there's always a negative side.

Agreed. Always a negative side to those that think negative. ;)
Many of the High School bands in our district have marched at Macy's and/or the Rose Parade over the years. Fundraisers.
When both of our DDs were in HS choir (that school has consistently been ranked near the middle of the top 100 High Scools in the nation over the years since before our kiddos all went to and graduated from there, and still is) we worked all those years at UT concessions to help raise the money for the year-end trips. The kids worked their behinds off right along with us aduIts. I don't remember any of those that volunteered rolling their eyes. Maybe, only the ones that didn't participate in the fundraising. You can roll your eyes, or get off your butt. 'Cause, you're right, the students are more than honored, as well they should be, and the parents, IMO, should be more than willing to help that dream come true for all their kiddos hard work. Why would you encourage them, supply the money to rent/buy musical instruments for them, pay for extra lessons etc., and then get all negative about a dream of their, granted, relatively short, lifetime coming true...?!?!?!?!
Seems to me, If your going to encourage and push them, a good parent should be prepared for the "consequences" that could likely follow. ;)

That picture is amazing. I hope she is having a good time, and I'm a little jealous. Did she see any monsters?

Still so far behind...
Thanks! They are still having an awesome time...! No monsters, but, she did snap story a pic of a Nessie statue to us.
It's on DWifey's phone. I'll see if I can post it later. It kinda' reminds me of the dinosaur statues outside of Dinosaur at AK. :)
