Thanks, they're havin' a blast! :)

And, we now have 4 pups in our house 'til the end of the month when they come home.
Along with Belle and Ranger, we also now have Pumpkin and Pi, oldest DD and SonILs pups.
Here is a pic of them together, and then one of Pi...he kinda' resembles a pup version of Albert Einstein, thus the name...!!! :joyfull: :)

Cute pups! It is kind of fun to have a house load of dogs. We often take care of my sisters dogs when they go on vacation. Now we only have one and she has two dogs but at one point we each had three so that meant 6 dogs in our house! Good thing they were all small dogs!

You basically cut up the zucchini into chunks and then place the chunks into a food processor. Spin the zucchini to a cole slaw consistency. Then take you flour mix and add seasoning and put them in a frying pan with oil and fry them. Once they get nice and brown on the outside all over pull them out and dab all the excess oil off. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on them and slice a tomato and put it on top of each of them. Very tasty.
Thanks for the recipe, Monday is our grocery shopping day, I'm picking up a zucchini. I'm always trying to get veggies in for the hubby!

Okay, I want to move in and take care of all those "babies". I'm the biggest dog lover in the world.

Camping was good to us. I've related this story before, but for new folks....here it goes. We were going to camp in the big Thompson Canyon. That's when a 35 foot wall of water came down the canyon and killed a lot of people. We had camped the night before, and was heading to this canyon. I dropped the crank down the side of a 500 ft mountain. There was no going down to get it. So we drove back to Denver to buy another one. I was kicking my self for being so clumsy. Turns out, if we hadn't had the delay...we would have been in the Big Thompson with our 5 year old daughter. And probably would have drowned. I think about this every time we drive through this canyon today. It was made much larger since that flood, but those narrow canyons can be a death trap. We carefully check the weather before driving in the canyons.
Yea, well we would have been the people that went down and picked it up. That is how is worked for us constantly.

Yup. Just this past Sunday, the fools were setting off fireworks at 4:40 AM (dark out). I was up (I'm always up early), but many people would be sleeping in on a Sunday morning. My dog was shaking. I had "had" it with these inconsiderate jerks, and I called the police. Officer on the phone said that others had also called, and they were on the way. Hung up phone and looked out window to see a squad car flying by (at what appeared to be) 80 mph (no exaggeration) up to the field.

I'm not sure about the area you live, but where I grew up, the loudest firecrackers were the ones that they set off each year at Chinese New Year's--noisy, but they didn't sound like the atom bomb like these ones now.

And as for children getting their hands on fireworks, there was another child injured the other day--he lost 4 fingers.

End of rant.

You have every right to rant.
That is a life-changing injury. Prayers for him.

I saw a story on TV a few years ago about a father that was almost completely blinded in one of his eyes by a premature explosion of a firework. He was telling folks to leave it to the professionals. They showed a simulation of what his vision is like in that eye now. It ain't pretty...just blurry light and shadows. And, the Docs have done everything they can do for that eye.
Just isn't worth it when it comes to the powerful stuff, or even some of the milder stuff, too.

We've got 2 big, and 2 small...
Our Belle and Ranger are a black lab and a black lab/shepherd mix.
Luckily, they get along pretty well, for the most part. :)

Okay, things weren't always so rosy for us either. We drove from Kansas city. The car kept getting hotter and hotter as we climbed into the mountains. Two lane dirt road. Long story short, we stopped by a river, hubby opened the hood and the carberator caught fire. We poured water from the river on it. It was melted, had to walk to town about 5 miles to get a tow. Yup, we had our stories over the years. I still like camping. Hubby is currently looking at camp sights in The Rocky Mountain State Park. We may pitch a tent and camp one more time this summer. Then we will donate the tent and stuff.
