We seriously have no leaves on a lot of trees. If you go down 95 in South County near CT.....it's like driving in the fall/winter when the trees are bare.
Thats plague damage right?

I don't ship things back from Disney very often. Like their website shipping is ridiculously expensive, unlike most companies who give a break or free shipping Disney increases charges the more you spend despite the size or weight, bonus very slow shipping. We found this to be the case with online ordering too.

Most of what I shipped over the years was breakables. If Disney ships they quickly replace items that arrive broken unlike if airlines break the stuff. My entire dinner plate etc collection is Disney kitchenware I collected over the years long ago. I'd buy one or two a year, always different (back when everything wasn't generic.) I have an eclectic set of 14 ranging from Pooh to Minnie Mouse and everything inbetween. I also have a thing for salt and pepper shakers gathered over the years. My house is pretty free of Disney themes but they do pop out of cabinets for my fix.
Agree, I'm surprised they haven't used the the Amazon model... but hey, probably like the parks.. if they are earning tons of cash.. not need to improve.

As someone else posted the parks ap often does free shipping or free with a certain amount spent. Also if you are at the parks and the app is doing free shipping the stores in the park are supposed to honor it.

When I was down there a couple weeks ago I went onto the parks app and they were doing a free shipping and sale event. We were on our way to Disney Springs to eat and shop and I saw a few things on the app I was intending to buy and a few were under the sale so I bought them on the bus and had less to bring home.

The Disney store has park mercy too and often has sales and free shipping. But I agree if it isn't free shipping at the parks it is costly to ship home.

Happy doggie!

Temps dipped to 60s yesterday Daughter & I baked dozens of cookies

Christmas in July

It must have been baking day yesterday, I made muffins but these look better. Although when I cleaned out the freezer yesterday I found a container of cookies from Christmas so we've been munching on those today.

It was somewhat successful Farmers Market today. Pickles, Zuc & big beautiful tomatoes. Perfect for a tomato sandwich or BLTs. Slurp.

Now who are you going to name as the member that continues to remind me on Saturdays to go to the Market in your absence? :cyclops:
Hmm, Farmers Market. Don't have them around here unless you can call the hotdog cart on the corner one. :)

Glad the worst of it missed you! Although my car still has dings from a hail storm when we were in Hawaii last year.
I've told this story before, some may not be aware of it. We got really big dents in our car, baseball size hail, broke out the back window. What did the State Farm agent say. Drive our car around a week and see if the dents came out. Of course they didn't , he still wouldn't put in a claim. That was when the agent did this. Anyway it took a letter the the President of State Farm to get our claim paid. Then we cancelled. What kind of service is this? Sister had roof damage due to hail, and again State Farm wouldn't pay. She also wrote the President, and then cancelled. This happened 25 years later. They still try to avoid paying. Not so Allstate, they were very fair when we lost our roof due to hail a few years ago. They have always been more than fair. Of course, we have only had one roof claim. I hope we don't have another.

I actually would need a map of these kind of stuff.
so I can travel spot to spot.

I dream that I will sometime do a roadtrip with a camper or something.
We did that back when we were young. A lot of work, for the cook....me. Setting up the tent trailer took a little bit of planning too. But it was so much fun. Hubby turned on the burners on the stove on high, to heat up the camper. We crawled into our warm sleeping bags, and slept better than I have ever slept. I loved hearing the elk bugling at night. The sounds of animals walking through the forest was fun too. Of all the years we camped, we only saw one bear, and one mountain lion. Lots of elk and deer though. Another funny camping story, we had lunch on one picnic table away from the tent. We sat on the picnic table near the tent after lunch enjoying the scenery. Along came a squirrel, he climbed up on the other table, where we had left a box of pop up kleenex. It was near fall, for the mountains. He took one kleenex at a time and carried it back to the hole near the table. He came back over and over until he emptied the box. We laughed our heads off. So many surprises when camping. I love nature in the wild.

There you go again picking on that sweet puppy:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: I'm sure he's an angel everywhere but your house, just like my boys:hilarious:

Hubs was out walking him yesterday, and Jack was in the mood for sitting at the edge of the sidewalk, before they crossed the street. A woman was walking nearby and said to hubs, "Oh, isn't he a well trained dog!" Hubs burst out laughing . . . :p :hilarious:
