Nah.
You're overexagerating.
Its just today that MORE PEOPLE have access to easy communication.
So now we see more stupid people voicing their uneducated or illogical opinions online.
Id say the percentages of stupidity are mostly the same vs global population ;)
OK, but, life was a lot better before we had to hear their voice. Now stupid can get you a presidential nomination. I don't call that an improvement in culture.

I'm getting excited and worried. ADRs don't open until Saturday for UNI. I know we don't really need them but there are a few must dos. Maybe a bit too much Disney planning LOL
I probably will not go to Disney when DD doesn't plan the trip. Just too much for us, these days. I'm glad I have a comfy chair to vacation .;) Pictures, pictures, pictures, people!:D

Okay, I'm doing a rain dance. The air is now in the horrible category. I've had serious breathing issues today. And a sick to my stomach feeling, along with a headache. Which, do I treat first? The upset stomach, so I can take a headache pill. Then the breathing.... Just so you all know, I have a story about Nederland , that's where they keep the "dead" man. Seems his wife put her husband on ice, really, and kept him in the freezer for a year. They celebrate, dead man's day, every year.:rolleyes: Foot note he got a proper burial.

I forgot to mention, the biggest forest fire is in Nederland, several more homes had to be evacuated today. One more story, about Nederland, if I may.....We went through Nederland back when there was only a couple dozen houses. It was also an open range....so we are stopped at the one stop light in town, all of a sudden a cow poked his head in on my side of the car. So unexpected, I almost jumped out of my seat. This has given us many laughs over the years.:D

You don't get feet of snow. ;)

No, fortunately, we don't. ;)
But, I was still actually a bit surprised at how limited the days of being open are at all 3 parks. It all made sense after I thought about it based on summer vacation, and some of the cooler months down here, but, it still surprised me, initially.
Probably 'cause I'm so used to places like WDW and DLR being open year 'round. :)

Well, what do you do after you get downsized from a job after 19 years? You go to wine country, of course! So here we are, back again.

First stop was Jamesport Vineyards. Good wine, but expensive - $18.00 per tasting (per person)!

Then on to Sherwood House Vineyards. Phil took this of me enjoying a taste of Cabernet Franc.

I don't know what the hell I am smiling about. I'm downsized, remember? Oh yeah, maybe it's that little severance package that might allow a trip back to the world. :)

Anyway, here is a shot of one of the many vineyards out on Long Island East End.

And here is a good philosophy about life ; )

They also have some apple cider mills out there, and we went to one of those next:

And here is the rat b@stard who won't let me go back to WDW, Grrrr.

Errr, anyway, we finished it up at Kontakosta Winery which is all the way out as far as you can go on the East End, in Greenport, on a cliff, and since I couldn't decide on white or rose, I tried both!

Annnyway, there is a slight possibility that we bought a little too much wine, but you be the judge. ;)

And naturally, this drunk has already claimed a bottle for himself.

Happy July 2016 everyone. :)

Hahaaa...!
Looks like an awesome time...!!! :)
We've probably had not many more bottles of wine than that total in our house the entire 27+ Years we've lived here.
DWifey drinks next to nothing, so I take up her slack. But, in beer.
The amount of beer that's been in this house over those years would have to be measured in barrels upon barrels upon barrels... :D ;)

Great America then bought by Six Flags is Open weekends in May and September-October and everyday during the summer. It is always packed. In May they open some weekdays for Science and Math field trips and I know our middle school choir always does a competition there. It is also in May when our 8th graders go there for their grad trip.

Me, I flatly refused to chaperone those trips. No way, no how. I quickly learned never to chaperone anything early on in my sons first years of primary school. I read with students, I would work in kitchen, serve special luncheons, father daughter dance (gave that one up quickly too) worked market day, served hot lunch special days, field day. Chaperoning, nope.

DWifey and I chaperoned every single one together. We loved it. We were well known and respected at our kids schools for being involved and active. We always had our kiddos in our group, and we never got any carp from the other kiddos. Ours and the others knew better ;), but, we all had a great time...! :)

And they are messy, difficult to eat and if you watch someone eating them they look like cave people, lol.

Are the ones at Ohana's boneless or the real deal? I have not eaten at Ohana's in many years and I know the menu offerings were kinda sliced and diced. Is it still worth the $$$???

When we were last there in June of '13, they were real (bone in), and good, although I always prefer the pot stickers and sauces. The meal was very good (the year before, the chicken was too dry), as well as the bread pudding. Very enjoyable all the way around, so, to us, it was still worth it.
But, that was over 3 years ago... :cyclops:

Yeah our staff hates field trips. They always want inhouse field trips. When you are a volunteer and the staff is looking for any reason never to have to leave the building I quickly found other ways to support learning.

I laughed, literally at a teacher I genuinely adore when she asked me to chaperone the WDC week long trip. Still laughing all these years later.

@Gabe1 , last Monday night, I barbecued hot dogs. Put slices of whole wheat bread (we don't use hot dog buns) on two plates -- 2 slices for hubs, and 1 slice on my plate, on the kitchen table. (Hot dogs were still finishing up on the grill outdoors.) Went upstairs for a few seconds jut to tell hubs that dinner was ready and when I came down, guess what dog STOLE AND ATE THREE slices of whole wheat bread in less than (no exaggeration) 10 seconds??!! :jawdrop: This is a new one even for Jack--whole wheat bread?! He must have inhaled the 3 slices, and he had the incriminating evidence of crumbs all over his goofy face--plus he dragged about a half of the last piece and ran with it--afraid I'd pull it away from him! That dog is very untrustworthy. :cautious:

Jack the Ripper...!!!!! :joyfull: ;)
