Woof. I didn't even think they still made M80's.
I remember when they came out with the M90.
I quit shooting off fireworks a VERY long time ago 'cause I realized I might need my fingers and eyesight to be as good as possible at helping to support a family someday...! ;)

Yup. Just this past Sunday, the fools were setting off fireworks at 4:40 AM (dark out). I was up (I'm always up early), but many people would be sleeping in on a Sunday morning. My dog was shaking. I had "had" it with these inconsiderate jerks, and I called the police. Officer on the phone said that others had also called, and they were on the way. Hung up phone and looked out window to see a squad car flying by (at what appeared to be) 80 mph (no exaggeration) up to the field.

I'm not sure about the area you live, but where I grew up, the loudest firecrackers were the ones that they set off each year at Chinese New Year's--noisy, but they didn't sound like the atom bomb like these ones now.

And as for children getting their hands on fireworks, there was another child injured the other day--he lost 4 fingers.

End of rant.

Growing up we just had the low level fireworks. My mom was had a deep set fear of fire (when she was small and lived in an apartment in Chicago the apartment building next door caught on fire and she remembered people jumping out of the building to get away) so she wasn't too thrilled with my dad even setting off the small fountains in the driveway. We did the snakes and smoke bombs too, and sparklers. We were always twirling those sparklers. Which seems strange because I hear about how dangerous they are now, I'm surprised she was okay with that, there was always a bucket of water nearby though.. But they seem tame compared to some of the stuff that gets set off around here. I think my neighbors must have run out because I haven't heard it lately.

At least wdwmagic toned down the filter. We used to get blocked or censored for just saying simple words like "crap".
I think photodave was getting blocked and banned left and right because of that lol
Like I said, I don't blame WDWmagic, I blame the massive hypocrites that reside on this planet. The older I get the more I question the stupidity of people, the lack of judgment about what is important and what isn't and the ability to even know that there is a difference. We are a society that will kill our enemies at the slightest perceived provocation, but, cannot stand to see the word Dick in print. That is about as messed up as we can get. The saddest thing is that I don't see any change on the horizon. The more educated the public gets the less common sense they seem to have.

Disagree on a part.
The more information the people get, the more intelligent they can start to get.
There seems to be a lot of idiotic people online because they cant simply follow logic and they have easy access to the internet to have their voice splattered everywhere.
Reminds me about this known study, where they show.. that some groups of people have the tendency of reinforcing their wrong beliefs when confronted with facts.
This part of human logic is what needs to be eradicated with education.

I just woke up from a weird dream this morning. It contained three segments, the first featured Nate,Whisper and Jibanyan from Yo-Kai Watch traveling to Six Flags Great Adventure. I remember I was in the role of Nate from his POV and it had use riding various attractions there. Then all of a sudden Nate,Jibanyan, and Whisper started arguing and got kicked out of Six Flags Great Adventure. We decide to take the plane back but we missed our flight. As a result Jibanyan and Nate decided to drive there way back home and for some reason the air port was located in South Carolina instead of New Jersey. All of a sudden we decided to visit a Six Flags back stage place where we give requests to workers to bring out the Looney Tunes characters to dance for use. I requested Lola Bunny and suddenly the dream ended I woke up to a segment part of my dream where Clover The Bunny from the "Happy Happy Clover" Anime/Manga series who decided to start smoking (Chain smoking) and all of a sudden that dream started effecting my breathing after seeing Clover smoking. I started breathing in my sleep so much that it woke me up for real. It's been a while since I dreamed a dream that weird that I can remember this much info.
latest

This must had been a result of catching up with the latest Yo-Kai Watch episodes that I hadn't watched for over a month or two ago. Especially episode 25 called "Jibanyan's secret".

Good thing that planes with these huge bypass engines do not make as much sound as those smaller low bypass engines (see Boeing 727, 707, MD9)
Then.. military planes are hell! XD

Yep, high bypass equals less noise and more efficiency.
Most military fighter jets these days use low-medium bypass turbofan engines with afterburners and those variable nozzles. :)

I agree, but, it doesn't seem to be the case. I see no direct connection between higher education and common sense. Those with less education seem to much more sensible and reality based then degree people. I don't know why, but, I also don't understand how people with that degree of education can buy into the garbage that is being thrown about today. It's like they have lost all ability to comprehend what is right and wrong and go only by certain sound bites that fit in with some single emotion that they possess. They seem to be unable to process and evaluate exactly what all that is being said actually means. They have all become literal and incapable of abstract thought. It's just a puzzle to me. Basically, they have to be told what to think instead of being able to evaluate and digest the words for what they really mean. It's pretty scary to me!
