Like i said before my nail tech is a genius. I can go 4 weeks:) between fills:) i have the name of a few good places(supposedly) down there but only if it's an absolute emergency
Ah, yeah, I do mine myself. I had a manicure done professionally once...they did a great job, but it just isn't my thing. ANd I had a pedicure done once for my brother's wedding and HATED it. I will never sign on for THAT torture again. My BFF LOVES mani/pedis and gets them regularly....I can't understand why. My cousin has her own nail studio, though I've never been there. But my home jobs just don't last very long, so I'll have to redo a few times.

So I did something today that I hope will get me a bonus at the pearly gates. My ex called and asked me to book a trip for him and his other daughter....for Christmas......and would I make all the dining arrangements. Mind you when it was OUR daughter's birthday he didn't do anything. No card, no present, nothing. :bored:

I thought about it and it made me angry to the point my chest hurt so being like pulling off a bandaid, I just did it and don't have to worry about it anymore. Surprisingly I could not get a HoopDeDoo ADR for the days they will be there but I scored an ADR at CRT on Christmas Day. Yep, that's gotta be worth some brownie points.
You are a far better person than I. I would have asked if he was serious, told him to get a travel agent, and then hung up.

I'd never. We are a very small town. I know all my neighbors. He has helped me many times over the years, he is a plumber, Plumbing was never husbands strong suit. I've known the people across the street for several decades, he is an Electrician, He rewired our bathrooms and garage and all the lighting. These people are like family to us, it is a small town thing. And like family, I went over and smiled at him and told him if he burnt my Gazebo down he'd be spending the next two weekends building me a new one. :D And he would.
I however, live in a neighborhood where the cops were called, and they couldn't do a darn thing to stop it.

Well, what do you do after you get downsized from a job after 19 years? You go to wine country, of course! So here we are, back again.

First stop was Jamesport Vineyards. Good wine, but expensive - $18.00 per tasting (per person)!

Then on to Sherwood House Vineyards. Phil took this of me enjoying a taste of Cabernet Franc.

I don't know what the hell I am smiling about. I'm downsized, remember? Oh yeah, maybe it's that little severance package that might allow a trip back to the world. :)

Anyway, here is a shot of one of the many vineyards out on Long Island East End.

And here is a good philosophy about life ; )

They also have some apple cider mills out there, and we went to one of those next:

And here is the rat b@stard who won't let me go back to WDW, Grrrr.

Errr, anyway, we finished it up at Kontakosta Winery which is all the way out as far as you can go on the East End, in Greenport, on a cliff, and since I couldn't decide on white or rose, I tried both!

Annnyway, there is a slight possibility that we bought a little too much wine, but you be the judge. ;)

And naturally, this drunk has already claimed a bottle for himself.

Happy July 2016 everyone. :)
Enjoy your time between gigs. And, enjoy the wine!

Hate the last day. I would have been crying before the trip and fall incident. After that, I would have been a bawling mess. I don't do too well that last day.

I'm usually okay on the last day, trying to make the most of it and everything, until I get on the Magical Express. Then I get pretty depressed and teary. This time though I wasn't that bad because I knew Disneyland was around the corner in 19 days from then.

I'm just going to have to go with someone else. He's such a pain in the neck. I am getting a fairly significant payment from my previous job next Friday and it is burning a hole in my pocket to book a trip to WDW. Argh. What to do.............
OK. I will be the little voice in your ear. "Buddy, book a trip!". So, tell Phil it is a done deal, and then blame me.

So very sorry to hear. Deepest condolences.
I really hate being this far behind. My apologies.
Thank you. It's been a tough week.

Yesterday, my aunt, her daughter (my cousin), and my grandma all came for dinner. I've been assigned the task of creating the slideshow of photos that will be shown as people are coming in. They were going to bring some photos for me to scan into the computer. They got here (from PA) and realized they had forgotten the photos. So my cousin and I took a drive back up to the house in PA to get the photos, and then came back. That took about two hours. Then we had dinner, and I managed to get the slide show together after they left.

Tomorrow we have the funeral, and the rest of the relatives from SC will be up. That should be interesting, although it will be nice to see everyone.
