If you fly into Ohare in Chicago there is a Garrett's popcorn there. The cheese popcorn is my favorite. Before I tried their cheese popcorn, I hated it, then I tried this while at my sister-in-laws house (she lives in the Chicago area) and loved it. It really is the only reason I agree to visit the in-laws at Christmas, because I know we will go into downtown Chicago and I can buy some popcorn. I could order it online, but I don't want to open that Pandora's box, I'd probably order it all the time then! Anyway, get a bigger bag than you would normally order because it is so good, you'll be thankful later.

By the way, my husband will be in Chicago in a couple weeks and he has orders to bring back popcorn and deep dish pizza. I told him if he brings those home I will make him scotcheroos (which he loves but I only make occasionally).
Sounds like an even trade to me!

I'll bet doggie appreciated your choice.

Yes she did. She hadn't gone on walks since we left for Florida. My sister, who watches her for us, has a big yard so she got her exercise that way.

What's this nap thing you all speak of?

It can be elusive, but is often fantastically refreshing. You'll have to try it sometime!

Ah, yeah, I do mine myself. I had a manicure done professionally once...they did a great job, but it just isn't my thing. ANd I had a pedicure done once for my brother's wedding and HATED it. I will never sign on for THAT torture again. My BFF LOVES mani/pedis and gets them regularly....I can't understand why. My cousin has her own nail studio, though I've never been there. But my home jobs just don't last very long, so I'll have to redo a few times.
I have a thing about people touching my feet, so I absolutely REFUSE to get a pedicure. My mother doesn't understand it. I would possibly consider a manicure for an ultra special occasion, but mostly, I can do them myself for a whole lot cheaper. And I can keep them going for longer because if one or two nails chip, I fix them. I also can't keep them long for piano and violin, so I don't see the point in paying for a manicure.

You are a far better person than I. I would have asked if he was serious, told him to get a travel agent, and then hung up.

I don't think I would have helped either. Quick story, everyone at work knows how obessed with Disney I am and ususally checks in with me about their Disney plans. So there is a co-worker of mine who I really don't care for and most of my co-workers don't care for either, anyway he comes up to me in the copy room and says "so I'm planning a trip to Disney...". I just looked at him and said, "oh that's great, I'm sure you'll have fun." and I walked away. I rarely pass up the chance to talk about or give advice about Disney but I just can't stand talking to him about everyday stuff. (He is a really condescending person, and is very in love with himself. So much it makes me sick to my stomach.)

Thank you. It's been a tough week.

Yesterday, my aunt, her daughter (my cousin), and my grandma all came for dinner. I've been assigned the task of creating the slideshow of photos that will be shown as people are coming in. They were going to bring some photos for me to scan into the computer. They got here (from PA) and realized they had forgotten the photos. So my cousin and I took a drive back up to the house in PA to get the photos, and then came back. That took about two hours. Then we had dinner, and I managed to get the slide show together after they left.

Tomorrow we have the funeral, and the rest of the relatives from SC will be up. That should be interesting, although it will be nice to see everyone.
I will be thinking about you and your family tomorrow. Prayers.

I agree, long nails and piano don't go together. I once had a piano with long nails. I hated all the clicking on the key board. Like nails, on a chalk board to me.:in pain:
