That's it I'm done! no more moving around ADRs! I finally got the time we wanted for BOG dinner(my dh owes me big time for stalking that one! Deciding to go there with under 100 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 changes later the time he wanted!) We also switched Nine Dragons to Teppan Edo. Just when ND started getting really good reviews my dh developed an allergy and ND still isn't the best for those. At least we lucked out and got a good time for TE

In other news, seems my workplace is dissolving and facing a heavy restructuring. Means I'm probably gone like almost everyone( which is bad since I'm pretty much "barebones" for the company). :(

Now I'm going to check on jobhunting.
Who knows, I might even try to jump the bridge and try a job in the Cruising industry (as HR assistant manager or something similar, as my family have always been managers of some sort)
Kinda sad time to see my workplace of 6 years start to crumble, bad also.. I mean I have a non cancellable trip coming soon. And seems my plan to purchase my new cochlear implant went kapoof.
In the other side, I have a vast knowledge in quite a few things. I could stablish a photography studio too.

If any of you know a company that needs a dedicated online IT with knowledge, honesty and not expensive (compared to the international IT standards).. drop me a note! :p

Oh no, Cesar. I'm so sorry to hear this. First Buddy, and now you. I pray that you'll be able to find a new job in due course that you will like. I was laid off once (years ago), and it wasn't pleasant. All I can suggest is to try and maintain a positive attitude.

Also, just as a side note here: you have an additional gift that many others don't have. You are bilingual. That extra skill set is not to be taken lightly--particularly in this global society we are all living in. Maybe explore companies that cater to both languages and would welcome a very good IT person such as yourself, who could communicate via computer to them, and/or their client base. Quite a few jobs nowadays are pretty much online type positions, and also many people work remotely from home. Best of luck--we're all pulling here for you.

Sorry to hear this. But, it sounds like you have some various ideas. The photography studio seems especially interesting. Your pictures are always so beautiful. Keep your chin up, and hopefully, you will land in something that is perfect for you.

Ha ha. Well, I still owe $70,000 for this insanity. The college loan system is insane and is why I live paycheck to paycheck to this very day. And get less Disney. Arggghhhhhh.
Having a kid about to major in jazz studies, I worry about this. His undergrad is pretty covered, but going in he knows he is going to need at least a masters. But, he needs to follow his own path, wherever it may lead.

I hope not. Enough already. Our Riverwalk did not go over and it always does. The heat of the last week and lack of rain over the last few weeks I guess was a blessing for the ground to absorb what we all got. We are in pretty good shape if we don't get hit again. Glad you guys are OK. I was relieved my Mom's home was OK. That would have been too much, they got more rain than we did. This week is sucidoodles. I just look at my neighbors who have rural vacation/trailor property that got hit hard last year with tornadoe. That land got hit again. Wooba. Lemonade I guess for us.
I got up this morning, and opened my windows. The air even smells sweet. DS has his final quintet gig tomorrow on an outdoor stage. Last I looked they were calling for a real feel temp of 103. And then Sunday, Pow. Really hoping the pow slides past us.

Oh that's right--you guys have those loud sirens that go off. That's a good safety feature. I was also wondering what sort of warning system your area has in place for the hearing-impaired?
I had to look it up. I knew that there is a special radio, but
"This weather radio alerting system can be a life saver for you and your loved ones. Two models available, priced at 25.58 or 40.58. Strobe light option available for the hearing impaired for 11.99 each. Each radio will be programmed for the counties of Cook, Dupage, Kane and Lake..."

And they can be hooked to other alerting devices. Including one that shakes your bed.
They are battery operated, so if the electric goes out, you are still good to go.
