So I am clearing out my office, and insanely, I found this report card from college. And proving that I am completely shameless, here it is for your viewing pleasure. Apparently, I was never supposed to be a lighting designer or an anthropologist. And "ceramics"?!?!

Ha! You should have seen the look on my father's face when my son in college got an A in water aerobics. He had to have a PE credit. He did an eye roll for my DDs ice skating too. She also got an A Stupid classes cost about $5000 ultimately. Ahhhh

Ha ha. Well, I still owe $70,000 for this insanity. The college loan system is insane and is why I live paycheck to paycheck to this very day. And get less Disney. Arggghhhhhh.

The trio is the way to go at 50's, the pot roast and chicken are amazing and this way you get both! Especially if you can't get fried chicken or pot roast over there, you need to get your fill here.

I agree, that is what my DD and I had the last time we were at 50's. So much food and my favorite drink in WDW Dad's Electric Lemonade

Uh Oh. Did I miss something, this made my tummy drop are you looking for new employment? :( Not purposefully but I've been in my own little world lately, sorry.
Dont worry, it was pretty shocking. I heard yesterday in a vague email and today I got the confirmation that I might be completely out.
Who knows, I We're lucky and the website I'm making is a success, they might rehire me (very small chance for the next months).

My kids still have student loans. Both of their college years were during the recession and 401K's tanked. Horrid timing. Didn't help that college costs went up 500% in the 18 years their were on this earth. Insanity. My DD are closer to being paid off than my DS, but he took longer to graduate than DD and his first University was beyond expensive. Thank Goodness he ultimately transferred. It is genuinely a burden but neither would be where they are today without the education.

I look at it at least there was enough for them to attend and and education is there always and something that can never be lost. Just more a rocky financial start for them than we had planned, but who the heck anticipated the rate of college so far outpacing inflation? Still no regrets.

So, I'm coming to the end of a 19-year tenure at my current company as of next Thursday - downsizing is never any fun. I begin my new job on July 11. I've been blessed to have been able to work with some of the most talented and famous people in the theatre industry for nearly two decades, and I will continue this at the next company, but damn if I'm not going to miss this office, which is seriously bigger than my apartment. :(

Oy. I am sorry. Life really throws us some very odd curves when we least expect it. {{{Big Hugs}}} Seems we all need them lately. :(

Sure hope you have the success that you had with the career you are leaving. :inlove:

Wow, I thought for sure that was the river overflowing, again. Well, I am happy to report, the new "river" in front of house is dried up. I haven't looked at the side of the house to see if our personal river rapids is flowing. It is very cloudy, very quiet. Hoping we are done with this. Although, they are saying next big ones will hit Sunday.

I hope not. Enough already. Our Riverwalk did not go over and it always does. The heat of the last week and lack of rain over the last few weeks I guess was a blessing for the ground to absorb what we all got. We are in pretty good shape if we don't get hit again. Glad you guys are OK. I was relieved my Mom's home was OK. That would have been too much, they got more rain than we did. This week is sucidoodles. I just look at my neighbors who have rural vacation/trailor property that got hit hard last year with tornadoe. That land got hit again. Wooba. Lemonade I guess for us.

I wasn't aware of this either. Maybe I should keep up on the news more often. No, not for me. Movies, cooking channel, and the weather channel for me.

Oy. I listened to some of the news this morning and at noon while in the car. I heard some of the political news and flipped over to my Disney Parks CD. My own life is complicated enough without listening to all of the things that are beyond my control going whacko today.
I do listen to Chicago's WGN morning news each morning but it is award winning lighter news. They on the half hour deliver critical news but flip to happy and crazy news stories and entertainment local venues each day. It breaks it up to make it all a bit more palatable. The regular news stations are just too depressing to start the morning with.

So we are here!

It took a while to get into the park, but we got in. We had to buy our passes and then get the DAS, and then eat lunch. Our first ride was Radiator Springs Racers on the DAS. Second was California Screamin', which only had a 20 minute wait. We did Silly Symphony Swings, which was about 5 minutes, and then TofT, which was about 20. It's not crowded today.

Back at the room, getting lugagge and putting on different shirts, and then we have a FP for Soarin'. Then we're off to DL for the evening.

No WiFi in the parks, and hotel wifi is carp, so probably no pics until I get home. @Cesar R M Oswald was in the front of DCA today, but didn't get a pic.
Sounds great! I hope you get to sleep in a bit after such a long day.

In other news, seems my workplace is dissolving and facing a heavy restructuring. Means I'm probably gone like almost everyone( which is bad since I'm pretty much "barebones" for the company). :(

Now I'm going to check on jobhunting.
Who knows, I might even try to jump the bridge and try a job in the Cruising industry (as HR assistant manager or something similar, as my family have always been managers of some sort)
Kinda sad time to see my workplace of 6 years start to crumble, bad also.. I mean I have a non cancellable trip coming soon. And seems my plan to purchase my new cochlear implant went kapoof.
In the other side, I have a vast knowledge in quite a few things. I could stablish a photography studio too.

If any of you know a company that needs a dedicated online IT with knowledge, honesty and not expensive (compared to the international IT standards).. drop me a note! :p
I'm so sorry to hear that! Hopefully a better job will come along very quickly! Good luck my friend

Take as long as you need to get out of your bubble. I can only imagine the stress you have been under and hope everything gets back to as normal quickly. Speaking of bubbles 2 words bubble bath. Be well xoxo
