Hi all we had a water park day today: blizzard beach. And mini golf at winter summer land.

Now we are at animal kingdom waiting for the jungle book show. We had some bites at the nomad lounge....Yum!

In one sense, it is fixed. The water accumulates faster on the street, but it drains a little quicker, once it stops raining.

Well, I guess it's half-fixed then? o_O ;)
Seems like if it were fixed properly there would be minimal accumulation during and after the whole event.
We have much experience with that here in Austin.
They spend a bunch of $$$, tell everyone it's taken care of, next thing ya' know..."Ooops...!"

So I was watching the 1975 video of America On Parade (With audio) and I suddenly seen this bit of Bambi and friends at 4:20 - 4:28.

I wonder where that was located at?
Let me start by saying Bambi and Thumper were cute. I have no idea where they were.

Those weird giant people things are creepy! And I love how Goofy dropped his giant fork or spoon that he was drumming with, and quickly improvised by playing his wash tub like a bongo with one hand.

Oh, and it was really awful how the trees blocked the fireworks. So glad those are gone.

The wind got scary. We have a picture window that faces north, and I have never seen the old tree across the street bow down to it. And the smaller trees were bending sideways. I was watching all of this, and trying not to freak out. DH was chatting with his mom on the phone, with his back to the window, and wouldn't turn around. Missed the whole show, but figured I was freaking out because the rain was falling fast and heavy.

Sympathy like.
Scary moments.
Glad y'all rode it out with no/minimal damage.

Wow, I thought for sure that was the river overflowing, again. Well, I am happy to report, the new "river" in front of house is dried up. I haven't looked at the side of the house to see if our personal river rapids is flowing. It is very cloudy, very quiet. Hoping we are done with this. Although, they are saying next big ones will hit Sunday.

Oh my, another sympathy like for Sunday.
Hopefully the the weather peeps are wrong.
Stay safe...!
