I've decided to wait to tell him until tomorrow. And I only upgraded for the way down. On the way home, he needs to stay sober to drive us home, not that he will drink a lot on the way down but he doesn't like to drive even after 2 drinks.

Good. I was hoping you were going to spring it on him in the morning!! It must be hard to not blurt out the surprise before that.

Going one way First Class is enough. Coming back, it won't be his birthday anymore, so Coach Class it is! Back to reality! :p

They filmed some of the new Ghostbusters in Boston this past year. Not sure why. As with any other film crew in the middle of a big city during the work week, it was a nuisance. All it did was create inconvenience, blocking off some street areas, etc., and creating occasional traffic gridlocks. Oh, I also did not see the first movie either.
The next Fast & Furious was filming in front of my best friend's office building in downtown Cleveland recently. She said the spent most of the morning watching out the windows. The same thing happened with The Avengers. Their street was turned into a battle zone.

Hmm...it will be morning but I'd like two glasses of wine too to pull me through the visitation portion of my Dads services. There is a mental list of people to try and side-step. I told my Mom to skip the open bar at the wake/meal portion of the day, I told her I'd just go out of our room and visit the bar lol. :cyclops:
Families are tough. But sometimes made more tolerable with alcohol.

The fact that I am of legal drinking age probably will give me much more tolerance for many relatives on my mom's side of the family. I pretty much like, or at least tolerate, my dad's side. Last time my mom and I were around her relatives, we both came home and had a glass of wine.

Of course, my uncle called today in part to tell my mom that their dad enjoys his alcohol a little too much and a little too often..ugh. Family drama

I would say, watch out for snakes. The snake we saw was on the path, near the adult pool in broad daylight. Came slithering out of the plants onto the path. I'm more sensitive to snakes right now, having just saw one. :(
The only time I've seen a snake it was napping under a tree in Liberty Square. Someone came with a noose on a hook, put it in a bucket and off they went.

Looks great. One of our friends kids got transferred to the Austin TX Top Golf. There food is really good. This is the 3rd young'n that got transferred to Austin that we know this year. We just keep sending 'em down to add to @donaldtoo commute.

Hahaaa...!
All three to Top Golf...? o_O ;) If so, they're, fortunately, not affecting my commute at all...we live far northwest and I work southwest. Top Golf is north central Austin. :)

I would love that, if you would. I live through every one's post's on here. The pictures and stories of all kinds make my day. I have a story, not related to pets. I was eating some watermelon today, and thought of my grandpa. We always ate watermelon on his porch, when he moved to town. He told us to "never" swallow watermelon seeds, as we would have a watermelon plant growing out of our ears! I believed him, and always spit the seeds over his front porch! So did sister!
We were always told to wash behind our ears so no potatoes would grow. Never heard the watermelon thing. :joyfull:

I think she is often included with the Disney princesses, just like Mulan is.

Yes, when I was a Disney Store CM, she was always included with all Disney princess dolls...regular dolls, toddler dolls, limited edition designer collectible dolls, etc. When Brave and Merida came along there were 11, although, if I remember correctly, only 10 princes, and we never sold prince toddler dolls. Just the Barbie-sized ones. :)

I just checked us in for our flight. We leave tomorrow morning, and since we are leaving on my husband's birthday (his 40th) I decided to surprise him by upgrading us both to first class (just on the way down). So I needed to be on the airlines website right away in order to have first dibs on the upgrade. There were only 2 seats left in first class, we won't be able to sit next to each other, but he is in the row behind me. I haven't decided if I'm going to tell him today or wait until tomorrow. Ok, enough fooling around, I have to finish packing!!!!!!!!:joyfull:

Awesome!!! How sweet of you!!!
DWifey and I have flown first class twice in our lives, and it was awesome...!!!!! :joyfull:
Hope y'all enjoy that and the whole darn trip...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :)

One was a cheese sauce, the other was a horseradish, hot sauce. I gave the cheese away, and consumed a lot of the horseradish sauce. It was yummy and spicy. :hungry::hungry:

What I like about horseradish is it hits ya' with good spice (similar to wasabi), and then backs off in a relatively short amount of time. Too much of a jalapeño, serrano, etc., will take you (me ;)) out for a good while. Pain. We haven't been to Arby's in a very long time, but, I always used to absolutely love their Horsey Sauce on my sandwiches...!!! :hungry:

I look at Domino's as cardboard or a game

You know, there was a time back in the early '80's when Domino's made pretty good pizza.
My buddy from the northeast that I roomed with the last 2 years of his UT college here from '82-'84 and I ordered tons of that stuff. Our favorite was thin crust (I don't even remember them having a thicker crust back then? o_O) pepperoni and onion. Whole onion rings, not diced...I can still taste it, so darn good...!!! :hungry:

I'm really sorry that you're going through this, Gabe.

Thanks so much. :inlove: You my friend along with @StarWarsGirl likely get the 2 glasses of wine and you can be nice to godzilla thing. :joyfull: I'm pretty stoic so I'm assuming it will go well...it is that gathering of various families I dread.

I made it through Father's Day, that was bad timing...now through Saturday. He ultimately will make his way to a National Veterans cemetery and that will have a formal military ceremony but that won't be until likely August, Government moves slowly or so I'm told. The flag will be presented to my Mom on Saturday though.

Ha! We washed as to not have potatoes grow behind the ears. Our version of legends of the watermelon was not to swallow seeds or one would grow in your tummy. As a little girl I'd look at prego woman and think they swallowed watermelon seeds.

No, only one to Top Golf. One is a golf course designer, the other is a mechanical engineer. She was happy cause the General Mills Plants in Austin area are nicer and in a nicer area, bonus no Chicago snow.
