Hey y'all, just wanted to pop in to say hi and hope everyone is doing well, especially with all this awful news the past couple of weeks. It definitely puts things in perspective when it comes to the stuff in my own life by realizing it could be so much worse. Having said that, my divorce is still at a standstill with our trial scheduled for September, although I've been told my ex would like to avoid trial due to the cost. However, he still believes that the current custody schedule is in our daughter's best interest, so until he changes his mind, I'm willing to take it to court. I've had to deal with him more lately due to coordinating a summer schedule for our daughter in regard to camps, activities, and vacation time, and it's been a bit bumpy but manageable. He's still acting like a jerk, though. Good news is I get my daughter for a week in August, so I'm taking her up to Seattle, since my dad and my brother and his family live up there, as well as one of my best friends.

I'm also still dating the same guy and we just celebrated our 3-month anniversary on Saturday - woohoo!

Big hugs and kisses to everyone!! xoxo :inlove:

I'm a bit of a mess. It seems my poor very old dog is giving up:( I just can't handle her not being herself. Please forgive me if I'm a bit off over the next week or 2, my dh called and said she couldn't even go for her late walk last night:( I'm afraid a decision has to be made soon.:(

I am so sorry you're going through this. I know the pain all too well. BIG HUG.

At least it isn't that bad. Sometimes, little girls can be the worst. She is sharing a dorm room with her bff, and there are some other girls there from school that she is friends with. She seems to be getting through, but is definitely counting the days until this is over.
Poor girl. But I'm glad she has friends there! That can really make or break the experience.

I am seriously heart sick over the two year old and the alligator. The poor family.:(
I know...I read that and just about cried. Then I had a talk with my daughter (my son would totally freak out, so we'll have the talk with him without mentioning the incident.) about why it's so important to follow the rules and pay attention to signs, etc. It's so easy to forget in a place like Disney, where it really seems like it's in this bubble where nothing can touch you, that there are still dangers you need to watch for. I never would have known there were gators on property...never crossed my mind, but now I hear this and think "Of course...it's Florida...why wouldn't there be?" So heartbreaking...and it sounds like the 4 year old and 18 year old siblings saw it happen too.

I still cannot fathom who could let a 2 year old toddler wade in the lake which had tons of clearly sings "do not swim, alligator warnings".
But did it warn of Alligators? What I read said the signs said something to the effect of "This area is not for recreational swimming" and you wouldn't necessarily equate that with gators. You might think the water is just dirty...and they weren't "swimming"...so maybe they thought they were ok. It's hard to judge them when we don't know exactly what they were thinking or if they saw the signs. What a horrible lesson to have to learn the hard way.

Yes, they did. I love those singers. Such wonderful talent.
Do you remember what day of the week it was and around what time of day? I really want to see them, and I want to hear THAT song, because they always ask you to cheer for your state and in all the youtube videos, they always say they've never had anyone from Wyoming. When I was a kid, on our first trip to Epcot we heard them sing, and they did that song and actually stopped the song to come over to talk to us because they had never had anyone from Wyoming before. I'd love to represent Wyoming again.

I'll have to do some research with hubby, I think he has the itinerary. Which will tell me the day, I remember it was around the noon hour. We watched the singers, then the show, and then had lunch at America. Oh, I remember it was on our free day, that would be a Wednesday. I do know they do a couple shows a day. Not everyday. You can find out the show days and times with an Epcot map, and daily schedule. Get that at the front of the park. The schedule is right there beside the maps. I hope this helps.
