Thanks! I am taking a break from organizing the kitchen. It is amazing how dirty the inside of the drawers get. Lots of crumbs. It is actually kind of fun to see everything get clean and organized. At least it will be organized until hubby has to look for something.;)
I've been doing the same in every room of my house. Some boxes are like Christmas, I had no idea what was in them.

It was in the low 90's everyday in Disney. The humidity was very high too. A little to warm and humid for my liking. But we were able to keep up, with the afternoon nap. Evenings were great! The temperature was just right.
I'm so glad you had a great trip. Ours is kinda up in the air right now but I'm keeping my countdown going. We waiting for a cruise deal to come through. I thought of you today. My daughter is going to Indiana for a month to see her grandparents.

My grandma-in-law fell in the doorway between her kitchen and screened in porch. She was there about ten hours before someone found her so my sis-in-law moved her into their home. It was the best decision for everyone.
Yah, it is. But now I'm super paranoic, I'm constantly checking the security cameras because she can be SERIOUSLY STUBBORN.
Like trying to clean the dishes and CARRY the dry dishes to the pile. She can barely walk without her walker (with wheels) and she insists again and again to move the dishes (some are heavy mind you..).
I called her to stop doing that today. mere 15 minutes after I went upstairs, she was doing it again. I ended picking up ALL the dishes by mysef and putting them in order.

Discouraging to see this morning that a separate thread in Chit Chat yesterday, created by prberk, (one of our nicest forum members), was removed. He wanted to share the news about Orlando, and posted it a few hours after the incident, yesterday morning. People shared comments in his thread about the senseless tragedy. I shared that I saw on TV, the many people offering to donate blood, and how businesses in the area were providing free water and food to people waiting in long lines. (Even after an evil event, there's always good people that volunteer their help.) A few other members mentioned different opinions about a debate on firearms.

Anyway, I logged out here yesterday around 4:30 p.m., and this morning I noticed the entire thread was removed. Not sure where the thread went after I last saw it yesterday; but obviously, it got derailed enough for it to be deleted by the mods. I only wish that the respectful tone to acknowledge the victims could have been maintained in that original thread, (and other side discussions could have been taken to a different thread, to discuss those only), as I think that was prberk's intent, to just share a thread to express our condolences and/or prayers.

So do any of you have a favorite Disney attraction? Mine is Splash Mountain. It was my first ride on my very first trip to Disney World in 2005 and I absolutely loved it then and love it even more today. I think it has everything you could want in a Disney attraction: catchy, memorable music, lovable characters, great story, fun thrills, fantastic theming. I think it's going to take something absolutely incredible for it to be topped as my favorite attraction.

I love the characters and I really wish they were more popular and had more merchandise. Br'er Fox is my favorite, I think he has a great character design (all three of them do really) and I find him very funny and charming. I particularly love his laugh! I knew about all of them through Splash Mountain first, but when I got my first iPhone (which was 2010 I think), I watched all of the animated segments of Song of the South on YouTube and couldn't get enough of the three. I didn't really understand the criticisms at the time, I thought that it looked like any other Disney animated film. While I do understand some of the issues people have with the film now, I still don't find anything really offensive about the animated scenes and think that at least those should be rereleased. There's some great music, humor, and animation in those, it's really a shame that so many people will not get to see them. I do wish the whole movie was animated (like I've heard it was originally intended to be), as the animated segments are clearly the best parts, and it would probably be remembered and loved alongside classics like Peter Pan and Cinderella.

I just really want to see more of Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear, I think they can and should do much more with them. I think it would be cool if they made a traditionally animated short in front of one of their future films, or even much less possibly, a fully animated film. I would get as hyped as a Star Wars fan if they did that! Being realistic, I wouldn't count on a whole film happening anytime soon, but a short doesn't seem like too much to ask for. I think the characters are more popular than Disney thinks they are and it would be really nice to see them get more love.

Back to Splash Mountain, even after nearly 25 years, it still manages to impress with every ridethrough and never fails to put a smile on my face! It's a true Disney classic and should remain a part of the Magic Kingdom for many years to come.

So what's your favorite attraction? (I apologize for the length).

Davinci was an inventor and artist, we went to an exhibit at the science museum a few years ago that featured replicas of many inventions. There were some really artifacts too, his inventions were quite amazing and advanced. I don't know if michaelangelo was an inventor though.
I don't think he was....I think he was strictly art, BUT he was one of the first artists to start studying corpses, which was illegal. He wanted to see how the body worked so he could better paint it, so he made friends with people who came in contact with the dead and made arrangements to do experiments in secret.

Thanks for setting the facts straight, I was thinking of Da Vinci.
Well, the Agony and the Ecstasy does mention Da Vinci, too. It made them sound like rivals. There were a lot of artists mentioned, but he did come in contact with Da Vinci quite a bit because they were both favored by the Medici family. It's still a fascinating work, just really long.
