Mongolian Beef at Sunshine season's. Kids portion. Hubby had the same thing, only the adult version. Very yummy. @figmentfan423....you can just get the rice, if you are interested. I would bring along a bag of nuts to increase the protein.

We took more pictures today, and I'll post a little later. I don't want to violate the 10 picture rules.

Love the pics, Bet's!

At my old high school you had to walk across the street to smoke except for the ones who walked to the park to smoke Colorado style. I hung out in the library or science labs with the other geeks

Yea, I had some friends that were smokers and hung out there, but not me. I usually hung out in the library too, until my junior and senior years. Most of those lunches were spent out in the student parking lot talking about cars and girls...!  ;)

I'm taking my own advice and going for a nap now. Then an early dinner. A couple recorded cooking shows and off to bed. Yes, my life is boring since I came back. But, I really need the sleep and the same old, same old. At least for the next couple weeks. It takes longer to recover from so much fun. That's okay. We are adding to our experiences with the family. We got anniversary buttons for our 48 on June 1st. That was a fun day too. We celebrated at Hoop Dee Doo Review. We were all there, the kids, and grandkids. I hope hubby got some good pics. I know daughter did. I may have to e mail her. We were having so much fun, that we didn't take too many. My all time favorite place to celebrate an anniversary. The CM's were great and played along with us. I can't wait until the 50th. We plan on celebrating there.

Congrats!!!!! :joyfull:
What a special way to celebrate a wedding anniversary...!!! :)

At dinner tonight, oldest DD threw this out there to DWifey and myself..."You two should do a vow renewal on a DCL cruise for y'all's 30th!"
We're gonna' look into it...! ;)

I'm not a huge beet fan, but, those (and everything else ;)) look really good...! :hungry:
How were the beets prepared...?
I don't even know, but they were hot, which is a way I've never had them, so I'm going to guess....stewed? Really have no idea, but they were kind of sweet and went with the turkey, kind of like cranberry sauce. The whole thing was Thanksgiving in June. ;)

There were 5 of those circle screens.
And yes, we checked 'em all for Hidden Mickey's, but, no cigar.

On recommendation of the most interesting man in the world... ;)

Morning all it's not my best morning ever:( I didn't get much sleep because my allergies finally set in and I woke up a few times sneezing like crazy.:(:arghh::bawling::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I broke down and popped an allergy pill and it hit me like a ton of bricks, the first one always does and after that I don't even realize I'm taking them:confused: The other kicker is it's in the 40s again:cold::cry::mad::mad::mad::mad: The good news is after a week or 2 I won't need to take the stupid things again and this is the time of year I'm on round 2 of 3 with seasonal allergies, so I lucked out and and may not have any more issues until about Labor Day. or at least I hope so.

Sympathy like. And aside of the fact that you don't like gorgeous weather in the 40s, I would still think that lower, dryer temperatures would calm down those types of plants, and/or pollen, that would exacerbate your allergies. For some reason, I only thought that hotter weather contributed to allergies, but apparently that is not the case.

It seems I get hit 3 times a year the first being around Easter followed by the end of the school year and then again around Labor day. I didn't have any problems this year in early spring:joyfull: so I really can't complain too much. I'm going to make sure I have some honey(raw local) in my tea today that should help some

Sorry about the allergies and lack of sleep. Our heat is moving in today so maybe it will continue to move along towards you. We will have 90+ today with high humidity. Hubby wants to close up the house and cranky the AC. I hate closing up the house, I am going to miss the nice breezes and temps in the high-mid 70's we've had this week.

Are you using any extensions?
In the triple line mini button (top right), click on MORE TOOLS then on EXTENSIONS.

Check if there are suspicious extensions. There are many "free" tools that can slowdown your browser because they are more busy throwing you Ads than actually do what they are supposed to do.
I checked. Nope. Cleared the browsing history while I was there, and then tried stopping the ad from playing automatically. Still has a lag.

The other night I went to a baseball game with my sister and her family and while we were getting ready to go up to the stadium my sister had to have one last smoke. I heard my niece grumble about how bad smoking is and saw her roll her eyes at her mom. I hope my niece keeps that attitude and doesn't pick up the habit. It was fun to see her roll her eyes at her mom though, as she is getting close to her teen year, it should be fun to see how those pan out! (My sister was a big handful for our parents!)
Ha!! Nice! I was always the more vocal one against smoking, so perhaps my brother's smoking shouldn't have surprised me as much as it did. I did a report in 5th or 6th grade about the affects of smoking, hoping that sharing the info with my mom might convince her to stop. And I remember telling her once about some tv show I saw where a kid hid their parent's cigs so they couldn't smoke and my mom made it very clear to me that if I ever tried anything of the sort, it would only be one time because the consequences would be severe. I don't remember my brother ever asking her to stop, or giving her statistics....he mostly complained about the smell when my mom wasn't around. But it still caught me off guard that he started smoking. I get it...his husband is a smoker, so I imagine it was more like a social thing...when his hubby went out to smoke, he went to keep him company. But usually it's the other way around...the non-smoker asks the smoker to please quit if for no other reason than their health, and then the smoker tries desperately to quit.

I was out walking the dog around 7 this morning, and it is already hot and steamy here. Should make it out to you, soon! Sorry about the allergies. Thought that was what we were dealing with at our house, but it is a summer cold. DD just started yesterday, and she is supposed to go away to camp on Sunday.
