Hi! I don't really post in this thread very much but I just felt like having a conversation with someone. A few days ago, I got back from my first vacation in Europe and it was a very neat trip. It was a Royal Caribbean cruise through various parts of Norway and the country is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. We also stayed in London a few days before getting on the ship, so it was fun to see some of the iconic buildings there. I was particularly blown away by the size of St. Paul's cathedral. My family is so used to going to WDW/Universal for vacation, and I thought that this was a great change. I love to travel and see new places, although I did not particularly enjoy sitting on a plane for 10 hours :D. Out of the Norwegian towns we visited, I think I liked Alesund the best, it was nice and sunny the day we arrived there and the place was just gorgeous. All in all, it was a great vacation and I'd probably put it up there as my favorite along with the 2010 Florida trip, where we did WDW(MK only), Universal, Seaworld, AND BGT, especially with the opening of Harry Potter at Uni.

Here are a few of the pictures I took from the trip:

Beautiful pictures, these remind me of our kids pictures taken in Alaska on their cruise.

I love the small format. So much easier to post pictures. And like @MinnieM123, people can ignore if they are sick of the pictures. Tomorrow's pictures of the day we spent at Cocoa Beach. Such a fun day. I didn't have a swim suit, but I rolled up the capri's and went in anyway. I had the best grouper at Fish Lips in Cocoa. I'm not a fish fan, but this was so mild and fresh grilled. Really good for a non fish eater.

Nice pictures. My husband and I took our first (and only so far) trip to Europe last year. We went to Paris, Disneyland Paris, and London. It was a blast. The flight we were on connected through Iceland so we were able to walk around for awhile and it broke up the flight.
Flying from Denver to Iceland might be an alternative for me. With a layover on the east coast somewhere. With the 50th coming in a couple years, I will run this by hubby. If you don't speak their language , do most European's speak a little English. This might be a question for @Goofyernmost, as he recently traveled all over Europe.

Sorry about the allergies and lack of sleep. Our heat is moving in today so maybe it will continue to move along towards you. We will have 90+ today with high humidity. Hubby wants to close up the house and cranky the AC. I hate closing up the house, I am going to miss the nice breezes and temps in the high-mid 70's we've had this week.

Woof.
It's only 90 here right now. Definitely cooler than years past.

Nice!
Thanks again, Bet's...!!! :)
Nap is finished. You are welcome. I must admit posting on here lets me relive our vacation all over again. This year was special with our 48th anniversary. We take nothing for granted any more. My grandma, always said....do your fun when you are young, as when you get old it's not as easy. We didn't have the money when we were young, and even though we are much slower, we are enjoying these experiences with the family. We just do the bench program, a few stops along the way to people watch, and get an icee. Those are the best when it's over 90 everyday. Especially when we were used to the 60's.
