The lines are just not excusable. I'm fine with taking all the stuff out, walking through, them rummaging through my stuff if they please. Me, what I hate is trying to regather all my stuff, put it all back together, try not to leave anything behind and getting my shoes back on at a quick pace.

Yep, the lines were a bit long for our Feb. trip, but, nothin' too crazy. And, once you're through security you're already cleared for the connecting layover flight. We've never had any major problems, and love being there in a few hours. I'm perfectly fine with someone else doin' the flyin'/drivin' while on vacation...especially 'cause I'm gonna' knock a few back here and there. ;)

I enjoyed the Beach Boys too, although it was a little sad not to see Al Jardine with them. He was one of my favorite Beach Boys.

Yeah, he is good-gotta be getting up there though. If memory is serving correctly he and the other 'boys' have not been playing nicely over the last decade or so though they did come together for a special event. Beyond that not thinking Al Jardine has been doing Beach Boy stuff more his own.

My feet were killing me the last time we were in AK after dark so I walked on toward the exit while my daughter road EE one more time. When she got off the ride and started walking toward the front, she got really nervous because it was so dark and there was no one else around. She wanted me to talk to her until she got to any people or any light. I walked back and met her close to It's Tough to Be a Bug. That area had light.

When the summer nights get shorter in daylight I walk my DD around the park for final walkthrough via phone. When she had late classes at UoI I'd walk her to her dorm or bus. Now with her real job in a slightly dicey neighborhood, I walk her to the parking lot and she stays online until she is out onto the main road off the University's grounds. Cell phones are great that way.

They haven't been playing nicely with each other. I looked them up yesterday after seeing them on the show. A lot of disagreements and lawsuits. It seems as if it is Mike Love and Bruce Johnston versus Brian Wilson and Al Jardine. Kind of sad, since Love and Wilson are related.

I'd miss Toon also if I had little kids. We'd hit it a couple times during the day when they were tiny. A place they could run and climb, no need to be quiet. Those little squirts need a place to blow off some energy. When my kids were small Dixie Landings had a park that sat in sand:confused: but the French Quarter PO resort didn't have a playground back then or for many years.
Sad that I never seen any of the Toon towns. I hope I at least have the opportunity to see it upclose at least once.

I saw a snack at POR slip off a side path and into the bushes as we walked past it, it was tiny but unnerving. I had a bigger snake slither under a pile of flagstone that was a flowerbed border. Walt, my DD and I stopped-froze in place. I've never walked on that side of the road since. :in pain: Wonder how some of these critters up here just don't freeze solid over the winters.

I still have happy memories of staying at AKL shortly after it opened and the ducks were playing in the zero depth area every morning.
My DD said yesterday the ducks were playing in her Lazy River yesterday. Last year they had Raccoons and their babies playing in there and they didn't care that it was daylight or tons of people. During summer club swim team with my kids they frequently were pulling little frogs and turtles out of the pool. Silly things, ya think they'd at least go to the kiddy pool.

If I seen a "big snack" slithering away, I would definitively be Scared and thinking about going to the psychologist ;) :hilarious::hilarious:

Yep, most of the recipes I grew up with were all mayo-based...grandmothers, mom, aunts, etc. I don't remember when I first tried mustard-based, but, l liked it too. Plus, a good German potato salad is awesome, as well. As I've posted many times before, I just love potatoes, and have yet to meet one I didn't like...! :hungry: :)

I had leftover potato salad that I made yesterday, for our barbecue. Guess what I had for lunch today? I took the bowl out of the frig, got a fork and just dove into it, straight from the bowl !! So much fun -- bowl lunch!! :p

Tomorrow, it's back to work . . . :depressed:

DejaVu I remember the day you brought home a rotisserie chicken and dove in with your fork while it was still in its container.
