You shred the chicken, put it on a tostada with cream, onion, lemon and spicy sauce :hungry:
You can also use Ham.

Alternatively, shredded beef works as well.

Hmpf. But doesn't the flavor leave when you boil the meats? I don't shred so I guess I'm doing it wrong, again ( no surprise) for fine meats I do the Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken thing.

My feet were killing me the last time we were in AK after dark so I walked on toward the exit while my daughter road EE one more time. When she got off the ride and started walking toward the front, she got really nervous because it was so dark and there was no one else around. She wanted me to talk to her until she got to any people or any light. I walked back and met her close to It's Tough to Be a Bug. That area had light.

Texas was in the news here this morning for the flooding and for a shooting in Houston. Germany got some pretty bad flooding as well, and there was a soccer field where several people were hit by lightning. And a birthday party at a park in Paris got hit by lightning, several people taken to the hospital, some with life threatening injuries. We're just getting missed by the storms here. We're in East Central Netherlands and the storms are supposed to stay mostly South of us. They showed video of cars in Germany floating down the road...I hope that storm doesn't move this way! @donaldtoo, I hope you're safe!!
i'm actually surprised noone died in that soccer match.
I've seen news of people dying in dozens when they get hit by direct strike while playing.

I have read that, yes, people have been bitten by snakes at Disney (although it is rare). Haven't read much about it recently, but yes, it has happened. I recall that a kid was one of the people bitten. It was outside on hotel property.

People forget that this is Florida and they have a plethora of critters down there. I've also read that they fish out (with a net on a long pole, or other similar types of devices) snakes on occasion, from the lazy river areas of the water parks (in the morning, before the water parks open). I haven't a clue how often that happens, but I've read a few references about that over the years. :)
This kinda reminds me of that hilarious and yet sad lawsuit.
Claiming Disney was at fault for a poisonless snake bitting a kid and then the grandmah dying of a heart attack later on.

not at all. You only boil the chicken with a piece of onion and salt until its done and then remove. The flavor should be strong enough to blend with lemon, salt, onion and the tostada. Besides, you can use the remains for chicken soup.

Good morning it's a bit cool and damp so I'm heading to the craft store and then the grocery store (How is it I'm running out of a few things already:cautious::rolleyes::arghh::bawling::banghead:) It's supposed to be nice enough for the pool later so guess where I'll be?

I'd love to be floating down the lazy river at my DD waterpark right now. They got all new tubes and lounge chairs this year. Can't even imagine what those cost. But it isn't the weekend to be there, too many higher ups and board member popp'n in and out.

I wish they could have saved Toon Town. It was always fun even when the boys got a bit old for it

I'd miss Toon also if I had little kids. We'd hit it a couple times during the day when they were tiny. A place they could run and climb, no need to be quiet. Those little squirts need a place to blow off some energy. When my kids were small Dixie Landings had a park that sat in sand:confused: but the French Quarter PO resort didn't have a playground back then or for many years.

I follow my Gran's recipe that is Mayo based. No mustard, no relish. Potato salads are one of those things that I like mine better than any other version. Kinda like stuffing/dressing.

Yep, most of the recipes I grew up with were all mayo-based...grandmothers, mom, aunts, etc. I don't remember when I first tried mustard-based, but, l liked it too. Plus, a good German potato salad is awesome, as well. As I've posted many times before, I just love potatoes, and have yet to meet one I didn't like...! :hungry: :)

I saw a snack at POR slip off a side path and into the bushes as we walked past it, it was tiny but unnerving. I had a bigger snake slither under a pile of flagstone that was a flowerbed border. Walt, my DD and I stopped-froze in place. I've never walked on that side of the road since. :in pain: Wonder how some of these critters up here just don't freeze solid over the winters.

I still have happy memories of staying at AKL shortly after it opened and the ducks were playing in the zero depth area every morning.
My DD said yesterday the ducks were playing in her Lazy River yesterday. Last year they had Raccoons and their babies playing in there and they didn't care that it was daylight or tons of people. During summer club swim team with my kids they frequently were pulling little frogs and turtles out of the pool. Silly things, ya think they'd at least go to the kiddy pool.
