I'm sorry. Dinosaur should have been taken down long ago, kinda the same thing they did with Splash a few years ago waited until they could not push it off any longer. IMO they should have fixed Dino before they dismantled the Studios. But maybe this gives a hint to Rivers????
at least they havent waited that long as space mountain. Which was structurally falling apart and had to be rebuilt.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
not as funnier as I expected.
It got nasty. People have started to question others intelligence.
Its like they ran out of arguments and they had to attack the person than their arguments (ad Hominem fallacy).

Oh I find it as dumb as it was in the beginning which is why I find it funny. Lots of effort put into those posts. Me, food and beverages are wildly expensive at Disney. Me, I can't do anything about that. Done.

And on that note I was looking at some of the 'high' end snacks at Springs. Lordie, they should bring those prices into that Snack thread, new fodder!

Too late. thread closed after 2 guys were just focusing on insulting me after I called a guy for insulting a third person..
again, kinda ironic and between funny and sad..
I mean..Someone there claimed to have me on his block list and just decided to unblock me just to argue and insult. o_O

I really love the Imagineer threads on this site. I just posted an interesting idea about a new restaurant at HS on "The House Cup Competition" thread. So if your win design why I having been on this thread lately its because I been checking out and reading various posters ideas for what they would think would be a great edition for WDW in the future.

Since Hollywood Studios is going to have have two new lands in the next couple of years. I thought up a brand new restaurant/night club called "Hollywood Land Club and Show" (The name is a work in progress) which is open all day from morning to park closing. The restaurant is themed after the Chip N Dale short "Two Chips And A Miss".

The Hollywood Land Club and Show is set during 1940s/1950's Hollywood and while it's never stated where the Night Club Chip and Dale are seen in the cartoon. This restaurant is similar to "Minnie's Seasonal Diner" at Hollywood & Vine but alot more fancier and relaxing. Night Clubs were a common trope during the golden age of Hollywood as seen in classic movies mainly Casablanca. The waiters and waitress are dressed in 1940s era clothing and tuxedos worn by males waiters. There will also be a stage in the middle of the building where guests can see Clarice along with Chip N Dale perform complete with a piano and Bass which can be performed live every few minutes during the evening. Unlike Club Villain/Club Mickey this place won't be seasonal.

This restaurant and Night Club can also be the new meet and greet location for Clarice. When guests go inside the place there is a section/room where people can be able to find Clarice. Clarice's meet and greet area is at a "Backstage" room near a hallway. The queue displays various photos and pictures taken of Clarice from her various Club performances since she's a singer and dancer as well as a few featuring her with Chip N Dale and a few love letters written from the duo. As you get much closer there is a door displaying Clarice's room name and a flower and Kiss mark from her is on the day. When you get past the door, you will find Clarice in her room complete with a desk with a perfume bottle, powder and makeup on her desk and a wardrobe containing the other clothes she wears each night. There is also a chair near the desk which also contains a mirror with a picture of Clarice kissing Chip or Dale. The room where guests meet Clarice also contains the song "My Destiny" which is the first song Clarice is singing in that short which can be heard in the room where you meet the beautiful and lovely chipmunk.

(So that is what my idea for what a new restaurant at would be at HS. I'm not done yet with this idea and will make a follow up post to this idea in the future. If anyone on here has any good knowledge with old Disney cartoons and has seen the short a couple times or has seen this short and are knowable with old school night clubs and diners feel free to give me some recommendations or some help by sending me a PM or reply to this post in order to help me with some great additions for this new restaurant. Who knows this idea might give Clarice more exposure to

Today I went with my fellow seniors to plant propagules on Virginia Key. Then we spent the rest of the day on the beach! Not that I like the beach that much...

And I've officially got two more Disney vacations planned for this summer!
Walt Disney World in July from the 13th to the 17th, and then Disneyland (for the first time in 7 years) for the first two days of August.
Very cool!

I just actually poured a glass of wine. The rest of the mess is about the same. My Dad had a major melt down over the weekend too so I've been kinda banging my head a lot lately. Upside they have have not moved him again. Went to Doc myself today and my blood pressure is up. I was surprised because my blood pressure only rose when I was prego with my son years ago. So I'm thinking I'm going to have to take your advice and schedule some Calgon time.
Sympathy like. Please take some time for yourself today! Turn off all the phones, put on some happy music and just lay down and relax, you deserve it:)

It sucks, but my experience is that at least one major attraction is usually closed during every trip. Soarin' was closed for us in January. Last trip to DL, BTMR was down for a lengthy refurb. Better that they take the attractions down and give them some TLC than let them fall into disrepair.

I'm keeping an eye on the DL refurbs. Hoping that since they've already taken down Fantasmic and the Railroad in preparation for the SWL expansion that nothing else is going down.
I always expect one major ride to be down but 2 at the same time seems strange

At least you can decide during your trip whether or not to upgrade to WDW APs. One option that hasn't disappeared.
Our UNI plan: APs cost almost the same as 4 day tickets so that was an easy decision my dh did get the slightly more expensive one with free parking and food and shopping discounts ( food savings alone should almost cover the extra cost) Seeing we have APs next year we'll go there without the boys. Worst case we don't like UNI and we'll find other things to do in the area. Upgrading Disney is a tough choice. Adding 4 days next year is the Disney break even point where upgrading will make it worthwhile to do so.

Greetings, all -- just got back last night from WDW. Had a great time! :joyfull: I won't do a trip report, but I will share snippets (over the next few days) of some highlights and miscellaneous things.

I'll also go back to where I left off in this thread (before I left on vacation), and attempt to do "ketchup" today.

First a comment to @Gabe1 -- after seeing the national news reports of excessive security check lines for O'Hare, I assumed it wouldn't be much better for my airport in Boston, or Orlando's. Happy to say that I was given TSA Preclear for BOTH of my flights!!! I sailed through both in about 8 minutes.

For everyone: my review of Ample Hills Creamery (new ice cream shop on the Boardwalk, that just opened on Sunday). This is a nice shop, next to ESPN. They have odd sounding names of ice cream (you have to read the descriptions, because the actual names tell you nothing ;) ). So I had a (one-scoop) dish of Sally Sells Seashells, which was an orange flavored ice cream with a few chunks of chocolate (that had a hint of salt in the chocolate, but it wasn't overbearing). Cost with tax was $6.17.

The ice cream was very tasty, and yes, I do recommend it ( @figmentfan423 , you asked about Ample C. for your family's upcoming trip, and I'd say to go there). Note: I wouldn't say it was any better than Ben & Jerry's for example, but it was a high quality ice cream. Hence, I wouldn't recommend anyone make a special trip to go there, unless they were already over in the Boardwalk area. My only concern is the heat in Florida. There is no seating inside the shop, so I'd recommend getting the ice cream in a cup, versus a cone. If you get a cone, you'll have melting ice cream running down your hand in no time.

I'm bummed!! That was on my list of things I wanted to do and I just read that they are closing it the DAY we fly to Disney. Boo.

Well, in your honor, I rode it yesterday! Oddly enough, even though Frontierland was very busy, I "hit" it at the right time (again, very random time) and it was only 10 minutes to get on the ride!!!!!

But not to worry--if you can't ride BTMRR when you go there, other coasters will still be open. They only take down one at a time for maintenance.
