Well, it's taken two times house sitting for my neighbors, but their cat finally decided she likes me. When I first stayed there, she never came out of the basement, and I had to bring treats if I needed to scoop her litter box, or else I'd be in trouble. She hissed just about every time I saw her. This time, she trusted me enough to be upstairs more, and I would just talk to her and give her treats for the first few days, and then she'd let me pet her a little bit. Then, last night, late at night, she started meowing. I went over to see what was wrong. It turned out she wanted to be petted. She purred loudly when I gave her some attention. Well, took ya long enough cat.

A couple weeks ago I saw a woman around my age that had some issues, maybe MS in a folding wheelchair/electric. It was also aluminum like the light weight bicycles. Way cool. I'd like to see Disney go to something similar. I find some guests with ECV to be far more dangerous that the stroller brigade. If they went to the electric wheelchair type rental vehicle guests might be a tad more careful as you risk hitting people with your own legs or them landing on you where in the ECV there is a lot of vehicle in front of the driver.
How about this...

the image #1 and #3 are real designs .. these wheelchairs will transform into almost vertical position versions.

@Gabe1 , how do you break the news to Walter that you're going on vacation and he can't go? I had the discussion with Jack the other night, and he just looked at me with that sideways, huh? look, that all dogs get when they haven't a clue what in heck you're saying! :p (Hubby tells me that whenever I'm gone, Jack paces a lot, back and forth, and acts all lost in space . . . wish I was Dr. Doolittle and could talk to the animal, so that he'd actually understand that there was no crisis!!) ;)

Yep, I've thought the same thing many times about being able to talk to them. Although they obviously do understand certain words like their name, and we've always had to eventually spell out words like "walk" when conversing amongst ourselves so they didn't freak out prematurely...!!! :hilarious:
But, somethin' tells me even if we could converse with them they'd still think it was a crisis...! ;)

I'm not old, I'm just well seasoned.:rolleyes::happy:
Today I was at my grandsons baseball game with my daughter. She was talking about getting older (she turned 40 in April) and how, even though 40 is the new 30, she was telling me about how when she sits for awhile, she is stiff when she gets up. And she is a runner, not an obsessed one, but, she does run with the dog. I told her about that discussion we had on this thread about not giving up until we have no choice. I said, that in spite of the fact that I was getting older, I didn't plan on just giving into it until I had too. Also that despite the thought that 60 was the new 50, it didn't seem like that to me. She said, in a surprised tone... "Dad, you do realize that you are almost 70 years old don't you?" I said... "well, I do now, thanks for pointing that out, I had been trying not to think about that". :jawdrop::joyfull:

Hahaaa...!
Although brakes and a leaking tire are ancillary stuff, and not necessarily reflective of the manufacturer, the only way I'd ever drive another Chrysler product again is if they paid me (a lot) to. We've owned a '90 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, and an '01 Dodge Grand Caravan...by far, the biggest pieces of garbage we've ever owned. I'll pay to drive the Honda in a heartbeat...! :)
Strange I had two Dodge Caravans. I don't remember the year they were... I think 95 and 98. They were collectively the best vehicles I ever owned. Put thousands of trouble free miles on them both, were comfortable to drive, I loved them. One thing I do remember is that I had the V-6 engine, but, heard a lot of complaints about the 4 cylinder ones.

Yep, I've heard many others say they had no problems with either their Cherokee or their Caravan. All I know is that they were trash, and both model years were notoriously known to the mechanics as well. Luck of the model year or the lemon draw, dosen't matter to me, I'll never buy one of their products again.
