Here is kind of a random Disney thing.... On my trip to WDW in March I visited the Basin store because I wanted to get some of their Mickey soap as a stocking stuffer (yes I shop all year 'round for Christmas) for my sister. Anyway, they had Mickey bath bombs, suposedly the bomb would dissolve in the tub and release Mickey heads. So I was intrigued and I bought one for myself. So yesterday after work and my walk with the dog I decided to take a relaxing bath and try my bath bomb. The bomb smelled good and it was fun to see the Mickey heads come out of it. The Mickey's lasted quite awhile and it was fun to see them floating around in the tub as I relaxed and listened to my instrumental Disney music. So long story short if you or someone you know likes baths and Disney these bath bombs are a nice little splurge.

*No pictures of the bath bomb dissolving but this is from the store. I bought a pink one.View attachment 141918
Thanks, I need to get our daughter some of those. She will love it!

Hubby doesn't like to drive. He used too, but the traffic is really horrible around big cities. He likes getting there quick, and getting on the magical express. With no driving, until he gets back home.
Ah, that makes more sense then. I hate driving. I think I was the ONLY 16 year old who DIDN'T want to get my license. My mom let me renew my permit once, but told me I HAD to get my license when I turned 17. In the end I really lucked out. When I went to renew the permit, they had a problem with the photos and they got really backed up and were rushing to get the hard copies out because they were so far behind. So they saw the age and automatically gave me a license instead of a permit, so I never had to take the driving test. I never noticed it, but then one of my friends took my wallet and was going through it and says "You have a license??" and I said "No, just a permit" and she says "No...this is a LICENSE. A permit has an "I" for "Instruction" and this one just says "C" So I took it to my mom and she looked and she called the DMV and they said oh...yes, we made some mistakes in our rush...our mistake. Tell her congratulations on the license." Of course, now that I'm over here, the license expired so I don't have a valid license anymore.

So sorry about the flying issues. I take at least one 325mg aspirin tab before we fly these days. Sometimes two, for a potential DVT situation. Never had a problem, so far...

If y'all are really heading here, just let us know when! That would be awesome! DWifey and I would be more than happy to meet y'all over some BBQ, Tex-Mex, etc., and a Margarita...!!! :joyfull: :)
I'm picking Austen for our vacation next year. We do two trips a year now. One in Disney with the kids and grandkids, and one outside of Disney. We want to see some of the U.S. We have been to Austen, long ago, I just remember it being so much fun. Would love to meet you and of course your dear wife.

Well, it's taken two times house sitting for my neighbors, but their cat finally decided she likes me. When I first stayed there, she never came out of the basement, and I had to bring treats if I needed to scoop her litter box, or else I'd be in trouble. She hissed just about every time I saw her. This time, she trusted me enough to be upstairs more, and I would just talk to her and give her treats for the first few days, and then she'd let me pet her a little bit. Then, last night, late at night, she started meowing. I went over to see what was wrong. It turned out she wanted to be petted. She purred loudly when I gave her some attention. Well, took ya long enough cat.
But, now you have a new "best friend". Great story.

A couple weeks ago I saw a woman around my age that had some issues, maybe MS in a folding wheelchair/electric. It was also aluminum like the light weight bicycles. Way cool. I'd like to see Disney go to something similar. I find some guests with ECV to be far more dangerous that the stroller brigade. If they went to the electric wheelchair type rental vehicle guests might be a tad more careful as you risk hitting people with your own legs or them landing on you where in the ECV there is a lot of vehicle in front of the driver.
I agree, we saw an older man flying down a hill in Magic Kingdom, he hit a man at the end of the hill. And it looked like he broke the other guy's leg. At least he stopped until help arrived, which was really quick as a CM saw everything. With fewer CM's in the park, I wonder if there will be more accidents. Or, help will be slow to arrive.

Yup. Worse than I thought too. I was at the Orioles game last night, and it was absolutely throbbing. I took Advil, and it barely touched it. I had been thinking about getting a glass of wine anyway, and once it was throbbing, I was like, "Wine." Which actually really helped and I haven't need painkillers since then. Not that alcohol is great for that purpose, but at least it stopped hurting enough for me to enjoy the game.
Yikes...well, at least the wine helped, but I hope it's healed up soon. Sounds pretty miserable.

Well if you head down to Austin maybe @donaldtoo can repost his photos of a river not too far away from him where you and your DH can float down a real lazy river and even tote along some margaritas as you float on down. :D

Everyone's medical condition is different, but do you ever take even a baby aspirin at least 30 minutes prior to your flight? It's recommended to help avoid DVT. Along with aspirin, I've read that the best thing, especially for coach passengers (that would be me, too!), is to stay hydrated (water is the best to drink on a flight), and to get up a few times to stretch your legs.

Aside of the above, I agree with other members here who suggested extra leg room seats or business class (at least on most airlines, those two categories can make a big difference for some people--worth the extra cost).

P.S.: For my flight tomorrow morning, I bought a small bottle of baby aspirin the other day. It said cherry flavored on the package. So, I tried one and it was delicious! :hilarious:
have a great flight tomorrow! :D

Yes! Good grief! $5.79 for a small cup or cone...?!
I know this was many years ago, but, there used to be a local drug store when we lived in No Cal where we could get $0.05 scoops. A triple scoop cone for $0.15 plus tax...!
things got a big worse in my country.
from 10$ pesos per scoop, to 35$ in just 2 years.
still cheaper than in the USA.. (35 pesos is like 2.5 USD)
