That's not the problem, he lived on a large ship for a while and wasn't a big fanWe are already thinking about taking another one, on this size of ship. You can't even feel the ship turning around when taking off. The 4 and 5th floors are very stable. As are most floors. Don't go below 4 though, as those seem to be more moldy. From being at water level. 6 and 7 are what we request. We went on a much smaller ship. I could feel it moving, especially in heavy seas. I liked it , it was like being rocked to sleep at night. When I went to bed at night on this size of ship, I was disappointed that I couldn't feel anything. You can feel a little when taking a shower. That's kind of weird to me. But, it isn't bad at all.

You are welcome. I had fun looking back on them. Now, I'm itching for another cruise.thank you for the row of pictures!
I'm sorry there are so many fun things to do you forget you are on a ship. That's not the problem, he lived on a large ship for a while and wasn't a big fan

Interesting! Why does your Mother in Law require weeding?Oh joy not! My dh was supposed to have Saturday off now he's working and it's another 5am start. I'm keeping the bigger kid to get my yard and deck cleaned up. My MIL only needs some weeding and planting done, my grass needs mowing and I have some heavy planters that need to get moved. Just when I think everything around here is going to be all caught up something always happens
She had a hip replacement and can't do all her own gardening. Besides my boys need to earn some money for vacation.Interesting! Why does your Mother in Law require weeding?
Unless, I'm confused the only difference is the upcharge next to the free ones. I did the Trans Atlantic on Celebrity Silhouette. They had at least 5 upcharge restaurants. When you went to them it was like going to an independent restaurant. You made a reservation and you paid the rate that the meal was, no credit for money already paid on the trip. The only place that was covered by the original fee was the Buffet and the Main Dining Room. I don't recall any mention of "other" things at an upcharge with either of those options. If you wanted something special, you had to choose one of the independent dining areas.. Since the food and choices were ample at the regular dining area, I had no desire to spend extra for a separate dining area.Nope, Upcharge as in dishes specifically in the menu that actually cost money on top of the "all included" fee on the cruise.
Example, a normal upcharge would be PALO. Where you pay a fee and you enter to eat at Palo's.
But on Royal Caribbean seems different. Oasis has like 4-5 upcharge areas and others that are partially subcharge.
Considering how many online pages say that cruises want to sneak as much as possible to make you purchase.. Id say its more probably to see the upcharge dishes right next to the free ones (but with a small marking that shows its upcharge).
Will have to search more and see how it looks.
We would at most eat in one deluxe restaurant at much once in a cruise. (Loved Palo's)
So something in her place needed weeding? It wasn't actually your MIL that was growing weeds? She had a hip replacement and can't do all her own gardening. Besides my boys need to earn some money for vacation.
She has a nice large garden area and it needs to get cleaned out. She's now trying to put off getting her other hip done. I wish she'd just go and get it over with because she no longer has pain on the side that was done.So something in her place needed weeding? It wasn't actually your MIL that was growing weeds?
That's what we did on Carnival. One night we ordered surf and turf and my daughter didn't like the lobster so they brought her another steak portion. We did the same, when it was hubby and I. The dining room is very nice. And you get your choice from a couple options. The staff is wonderful. If you don't like what you are given, you can ask for something else, and they will bring it to you, no charge. We didn't do that, but I saw people who did.
I was about to post the same thing. It should be printed in the Welcome Aboard packet. They used to post the menu outside the restaurant. Before you enter, you will know if the restaurant charges. You get a "ship newspaper" in your room each day. It tells the day's activities, and information about the individual restaurants, and if there is a charge. It is less complicated than looks like. You are free to roam around and see what is available, and what interests you. We did go to one upcharge restaurant. Sister wanted to do that. Personally, I think the evening meals in the dining room, was just as good.
Well, made the jump. You are welcome. I had fun looking back on them. Now, I'm itching for another cruise.
I'm so excited for you. I've been thinking about you this afternoon. Stay away from guest relations, and you aren't pressured to do anything. Don't book any off ship excursions, they can be rained out sometimes. I'm not sure you would get your full money back in the fine print, it may say no money back. We had fun and never booked anything. Plenty to see and do on the islands, or your home country Mexico. We cruised east and west. Both sides beautiful . You will get amazing sunset pictures. We didn't have our good camera then. Oh, I forgot to mention the flow rider....it's like surfing on the ship. You have to see it to believe it. We never tried it, a lot of people did, and most fell. That's the fun of watching! Have the best experience ever. Let me know if we need to book next year. It was a toss up this year with Disney. If June is bad, we will bank our airline miles. And try to take another cruise in October. Good luck, and I hope you have an amazing time!Well, made the jump.
Bought the cruise, right now I'm checking on the hotels and airlines.
I agree, we never felt deprived when going to the Main dining room. They have a 24 hr. deli on board, if you get hungry later. But, if you need more to eat, in the past you could ask for seconds, no charge. I would check on that. It was that way in 2014. Things do change. Our experiences have been so nice. Give the room stewards a few bucks each night, say hello to them in the morning, doing that got us superior service. Fun towel animals, offered extra towels, and they would do anything for you. A chit chat, ask them how they are doing, and you will be golden. Same goes for the dining room, or buffet. By the time we were finished with our trip, we got to know a couple people in the buffet, they ended up calling us Grandma and Grandpa. We got hugs from them on the last day. They were funny too. It was the best trip ever. Why did I consider another Disney? Now, I'm talked out of going in October.Unless, I'm confused the only difference is the upcharge next to the free ones. Did you know that they are attracted by noise? So if you're doing something that you think may quiet them or scare them away...it's the exact opposite.Noisy, ugly bugs!
