The one compliment I can extend to DS is in the area of new restaurant options, both QS and some very interesting looking TS restaurants. And with many of the (on-site) WDW hotel guests selecting the various meal plans, I think there is a need for expanding the selection of restaurants across WDW's properties.
I'm always glad to see new food options. We are trying Deluxe Burger, that was daughter's choice.

I've used Uber in the city, it is far less terrifying than our taxi system and my DS does a great deal. Last I heard MCO doesn't allow either. I use the buses and train within the City often but if there is more than 2 of us Uber is much cheaper. Gotta say though I like the idea of finger printing and background checks. They are not overly expensive or time prohibitive. My DD had to have both in college to tutior at a high school while she was down at her University. Both of my kids had background checks done to work for their park district jobs. My comfort level would be higher with finger prints/background checks. Surprises me that is a sticking point for Lyft and Uber.
We have had to get finger printed to get a driver's license in Colorado. That's been the case for over 10 years.

I'd consider Uber over Magical Express going back to the airport even though I would need to pay. I could still check my baggage through in the morning but not have to be loaded 3+ hours in advance to head to the airport.
We usually take an early bus. Get checked in , go through security, have breakfast at the airport, hit the restrooms. Then, it's about time to board the plane. :(

Me too! I love jammies. My MIL gets really upset by the idea of staying in PJs all day. If we spend the night there, she insists on the kids being dressed by 9 or 10 a.m. I can't figure out what she's afraid is going to happen if we're in our PJs after that...like we're going to turn into pumpkins?
We started the Christmas Jammie tradition several years back. And a snack day on Christmas. That's the best thing we ever changed. The big formal meal is at Thanksgiving. We do wear jammies after that meal.

My husbands grandparents did that too. His grandmother was amazed that I didn't know how to darn socks!;)

Oh my! My MIL was still a sock darner until the last few years and she is 91. She has a lot of whackadoodle quirks in her repertoire. She saved every plastic container that had a lid from margarine to yogurt containers. When they moved from her house to a condo we found thousands and thousands of plastic containers. She washed and reused plastic silverware, bought plastic disposable plates so they could be reused vs paper, she washed ziplock bags and aluminum foil and tin pans too. Holidays and Birthdays are a hoot cause everyone must be careful unwrapping packages since when the paper is removed from the package she scurries to snarf it up and neatly fold it for future presents. Lord help anyone that accidently ripped what she considered nice paper as she could never let it go without drawing attention to the sin of tearing perfectly good paper.

My Mom's pendulum swung the opposite way after being one of 12 kids that endured the depression and the parents lost a home. She tends to buy anything and everything, most of which she doesn't need or need the volume of from clothing, sheets, food, jewelry, coats etc. Her motto seemed to be she did without for the 20 years of her youth and she was going to make up for that forever.

Good luck I'm almost certain @MinnieM123 and myself are only a few of us stateside who can sleep in and still make rope drop every morning:confused:
Thanks, I stayed in bed this morning and watched a lifetime movie. Hubby went to work! They were having breakfast brought in. So I ate a Nutri System bar. No cooking for me all day! I love these kind of days. How is your day going?

My ds who will be 14 is still debating getting an autograph book. I think that's part of the reason we booked 3 character meals. I'm pretty sure M&Gs will not be at the top of his to do list:( I think his list is down to Olaf and Stitch

Even though we had done 2 week vacations regularly I did book character meals, usually for breakfast to fill those autograph books. Don't miss those days. My DS had a big thing for TMNT's and we spent way too much time in those lines for autographs each time we went into the studios for a couple years. They both moved away from autograph books by the time they were 8. About the time I refused to be the keeper of all their stuff they dragged into the parks.

Well, Violetta isn't a princess. The show is about a teenage girl with an overprotective father. Her mother died in a stage accident...she was a singer. So the father won't let Violetta have anything to do with music because he's afraid he'll lose her, but all she wants to do is sing and dance, so she has to hide it from her father.
Dont know why that reminds me of the movie "Billy Elliot"

Your MIL sounds just like my hubby's grandmother. She had a basement full of stuff. Including 20 year old jars of mayonnaise, that had turned gray.:hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover: Can anyone say food poisoning?;)

Except . . . you may need that extra three hours now, regardless. I fly out on Sunday on Jet Blue, and I got an email from them yesterday advising everyone to arrive at (Logan International) at least TWO hours ahead of time for TSA lines. I also saw a report on the TV news about the long lines at screening. MCO is a very busy airport, so just a heads up to allow more time.
Speaking of busy lines.
Thats something that baffled me.

This December 2015 30 was the first time I did fly to Dallas Forth Worth.
I expected it to be a huge mess (bigger than Houston Intercontinental) because it was the hub of American Airlines.
The airport is monstrous.. equally big as Houston's, but it was mostly empty!!
When we arrived to the TSA/DHS area.. the Dallas airport had less dense checkpoints (to give passport..etc..) yet they were EMPTY people wise.
No seriously.. Houston usually has one entire side of checkpoints open and churning people left and right with huge lines.. that can last up to 2 hours.
In Dallas, we were inside the USA side in less than 5 minutes o_o

I thought that 2 hours was the requested time for years now. Did it change? I never get there two hours ahead, but, they have always warned us to be there.
I actually wonder the same.. since I started going to WDW in 2013.. they always mentioned the "at least 2 hours".
up to 5 hours before if your flight is international (2 for the magical express movements and 3 for the airport).
