I use to think that too but over the last several years the amount of solo adult guys I've seen waiting to meet the young princesses has surprised me. I don't recall the volume of that demographic when I or my children were little. Rarely was Princess M&Gs queues filled with anything but parents with their own little princesses up to the age of 8-10, then even the preteen gals viewed that activity as lame. I think my kids stopped doing autograph books around 8 years old. So I've seen a sway in what interests some adult men at Disney Parks.
My ds who will be 14 is still debating getting an autograph book. I think that's part of the reason we booked 3 character meals. I'm pretty sure M&Gs will not be at the top of his to do list:( I think his list is down to Olaf and Stitch

The Depression Era brought out some strange behaviors years after the fact, because people couldn't shake the memory of how they were so deprived of many things back then. One of my grandmothers was a prime example of that, much to the amusement of my family, while we were kids growing up. No matter where she went, she'd always ask for a "brochure" of the place, and if they had any books of matches. (Back then, so many people smoked, and most places had books of matches, listing the name of the business and address.)

Just so you know: my grandmother did not smoke, but she had drawers full of matches and brochures  . (And let's not forget about the fire hazard of all these items together. My father had a cow one day when he opened a few drawers in her kitchen, looking for a potato peeler, and all he found were brochures and matches!! :p :D ) Yup, post-Depression stress syndrome!!
My grandparents (both sets) made it through the depression in pretty good shape not having to give up things. What I remember them taking about as far as hardship was rationing during WW2. I remember both my grandfathers saying coffee without sugar and not being able to drive to the shore was rough but worth it. They said they were very lucky having rather secure jobs.

Oh my, yes. Both sets of my grandparents saved and repurposed so many things. It actually used to amaze me, in a good way. :)

I know what you mean about it being a good thing to repurpose; we live in such a throwaway society now. (That's my pet peeve about the computer industry--our landfills are full of computer parts, etc., because they get outdated so quickly. It's such a waste.) Moving right along--

My grandparents threw nothing away (or so it seemed). I even recall my grandmother saving worn out shirts. She'd first take off all the buttons, and those went into the loose button container (which was an old, metal cookie tin, from Christmas years prior, and it had a Santa Claus design on it). She'd cut squares from the material, to be hand-sewed into future afghans. (Years later, we'd look at some of the homemade afghans she made, and I'd say, "Oh, I remember that swatch from a blouse I used to wear to school!" :p )

I'd consider Uber over Magical Express going back to the airport even though I would need to pay. I could still check my baggage through in the morning but not have to be loaded 3+ hours in advance to head to the airport.

Except . . . you may need that extra three hours now, regardless. I fly out on Sunday on Jet Blue, and I got an email from them yesterday advising everyone to arrive at (Logan International) at least TWO hours ahead of time for TSA lines. I also saw a report on the TV news about the long lines at screening. MCO is a very busy airport, so just a heads up to allow more time.

Keith Richards is the one that amazes me.
I read someplace, probably in something that I wrote, that Keith passed away years ago, but, his nervous system is being run on the excess drugs in his system. The latest estimate is that he ought to run out about 2020.

I thought that 2 hours was the requested time for years now. Did it change? I never get there two hours ahead, but, they have always warned us to be there.

The question, are they for real? or they are just to grab headliners?
Reminds me of the planned split between Hulk Hogan and her Wife to protect his fortune after the dumb accident of his son. Then the supposed feud.
UNTIL the cheating video came online.
The Hulk's career and popularity has gone to carp over the years so of course he would look for some attention. Ozzy is still (and always will be) a powerhouse in the metal world. I very highly doubt he needs tabloid attention for his career to survive.

Thanks for sharing that (I rarely have time to scan the sub-forums). My reaction is mixed. On the one hand, I like seeing something new, so I'll definitely head over there at some point next week. On the other hand, I read the list of new stores, and I thought I was reading about any other mall, including the ones near where I live. I'd rather see fewer shops, (but more unique ones) than the standard fare of what you can find in most shopping malls across the country now.
I agree the nothing is unique anymore. We live in a cookie cutter world.

Well, Violetta isn't a princess. The show is about a teenage girl with an overprotective father. Her mother died in a stage accident...she was a singer. So the father won't let Violetta have anything to do with music because he's afraid he'll lose her, but all she wants to do is sing and dance, so she has to hide it from her father.

Yes I realize that. The point in the post I was responding to was to what would appeal to guys, my example being the changes over the years of what guys are now drawn to that wasn't very typical back then. It cuts both ways, I have a DD that was never drawn to the films, toys or TV shows that target audience was young girls let alone princesses. The target audience thing seems to becoming more and more blurred.
