That could be really cool, or really horrifying. Hopefully it's cool! We never did pop music for anything. It was folk, classical type, or hymns. We did an awesome version of Amazing Grace one year...gave me chills every time we did it. I have a CD from Collegiate Chorale and I listen to it once in a while when I want something comforting. My favorite on the CD is Deep River, but there was one we did that gives me the most peaceful feeling....My Shepard Will Supply My Need. It has oboe and flute and is just gorgeous. I wish it was on the CD.
The ukulele group director played it with us, and it sounded pretty cool. Hopefully with 30-something ukuleles it will still sound cool.

My director tries to throw in some pop ones. Chapel of Love we're doing because we have one guy (out of about 10 people, we have a female tenor and the director sings bass) so the director decided he wanted to do one all-female piece. He also wants to do stuff that we enjoy, and the choir (particularly the sopranos) complain about this one (and no, we don't sound nearly this good)

err, I never did blame the US in this case.
Its our president (aka Mexico's)

I was saying I was pulling a humorous "Thanks Obama" type stuff (where they blame him for anything.. even bad weather. And humorously added to those infomercial failures).
We have posters from 5 different countries that post in this thread. It's best to leave ALL political statements out of it as The Mom has warned. Perhaps some posters here don't appreciate the Obama humor, just sayin'.

I didn't answer you about the size. Mine is 5mm wide and 10mm long. Pretty big for a stone. They were amazed that it actually got out of my kidney, but, told me I was very lucky that it did.
I want you to know that I hope your test in July comes out okay. Take care. I miss quote, my stone got stuck in the kidney leading to the bladder. That's why I had lipotripsy . They blasted my kidney, and broke up the stone, the stent was to make it pass easier. I hope you never have another stone. The size, the shape and the make up can mean so much. I hope they are doing an analysis on it. That means so much. And keep drinking copious amounts of water. That's the best advice of all.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

I'm a bigger fan of D ick's Sporting Goods. At least the extended warranty will be up in July that I bought for my DS expensive bike at Sport's. Pretty much why I won't buy any big ticket item from Sears now. Just don't know how much longer they can hold on along with
K-Mart. I only know of one operational anywhere in these parts.

Hahaaa...! Thanks! :)
At the first winery it was $12 for 6 1 oz. pours, so basically, in all, a total of a typical glass of wine. But, as per usual, I did finish a few the others didn't like. ;)
Second winery, we just bought a bottle (no tasting) and split it between 5 of us. A good glass for all. Youngest DD didn't have any more after the first winery because she had to leave after lunch for a babysitting gig.
At the third winery it was $7 for 5 pours, and they were definitely more like 2-2.5 oz. pours. :) SonIL opted out of 3 of those because he was our driver now. And yep, you guessed it, I took up his slack. :D
So, I probably had a total of about 5 glasses...plus the 2 16 oz. draft beers I had at lunch. Really not all that much. :cyclops: ;)
The second winery had an Italian restaurant on the grounds, but, we opted out and decided on The Leaning Pear in Wimberley instead. :)

That winery in NC sounds wonderful.
When we first went I thought we might run into a bunch of wine snobs, but, we haven't, so far. Plus, it is Central Texas and most people are pretty laid back here.
Definitely another fun day with the kiddos...! :)

I would have gone BOOM after the first winery. If I drank 5 glasses, I'd be out cold. Can't imagine 2 beers on top of that. Eeek. Wonder how long it would have taken to sleep all that off for me. Likely I'd have been ill long before I had the chance to find out. And I love wine. Right now I have a lovely glass of Riesling next to me.

There were a few that both my DS and DD choirs sang that gave me goosebumps. Edelweiss, Green Day-Time of your life, I will remember you and Dolly's I will always love you are a few that regularly got to me they sang.

The first song my son sang in a choral setting was when he was 4 years old at his daycare graduation. Sung with the same warmth as Bette, Wind Beneath my Wings out of the voice of babe's. To put it into perspective they were Gulf War babies and Wings was very much the song for our warriors. Fitting the little tykes sang it as it crossed over to dual meanings for the parents. These song still make me weepy.

Back in my college days I could have handled all that with no problems, now I'd be out pretty soon too! I thought about a beer today, and j decided to go with ice cream instead!:)
