I would have gone BOOM after the first winery. If I drank 5 glasses, I'd be out cold. Can't imagine 2 beers on top of that. Eeek. Wonder how long it would have taken to sleep all that off for me. Likely I'd have been ill long before I had the chance to find out. And I love wine. Right now I have a lovely glass of Riesling next to me.
Even if they are "tasters" sized cups? (aka tiny cups) ?

I hope no one gives her a tough time. It sounds like she was well within her rights to take charge of the car, and it was very kind of her to co-sign in the first place. Hopefully this teaches the girl a lesson to live up to responsibility.
Things worked out so well because everything was in my mom's name. The little angel has already ruined her credit so bad she couldn't get it even with a cosigner. That should have been my mom's first clue.

I'm a bigger fan of D ick's Sporting Goods. At least the extended warranty will be up in July that I bought for my DS expensive bike at Sport's. Pretty much why I won't buy any big ticket item from Sears now. Just don't know how much longer they can hold on along with
K-Mart. I only know of one operational anywhere in these parts.

Sears made their problem bigger when they bought Kmart.

Sears made their problem bigger when they bought Kmart.

Actually, it was the other way around: KMart bought Sears. Back in 2004, Kmart Holdings Corporation agreed to change to the "new" name of Sears Holding Corporation, as part of the $11 billion merger deal. Regardless of the history, they're having some financial issues now.
Right.. what she said. Surprised me as well. It just seemed impossible that K-mart (previously Kresge's, 5 and 10) would be able to buy out the mammoth Sears, Roebuck, Co., but, they did just that. Sears started the massive decline when they did away with their catalog, that was their lifeblood. It also would have transferred easily to online. Prime example of "can't fail" business's that fail.

I'm sorry, I lived in a town like that. Hubby and I got married, we left town and never looked back. I personally like living in a big area. Our neighbor's are nice. But, not intrusive, which suits me.
It has its advantages living in a small town, too...the nice thing was that when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, there were a lot of really amazing people who did everything they could to help her, from setting up fund raisers, to cooking meals for us, to driving her to appointments if we couldn't be there.
