I read the tweets and I really don't get what the fuss is about?

If it was later said it was a parody of him I would have been inclined to believe it.

He is a very interesting man. Very intelligent. Well spoken, well written. So went against his own principles he has addressed over the decades. My daydream when I read the tweets was a man alone, nothing to do because it was a holiday, a fifth of something and twitter. Or not him in reality.

Yep, when we were hiking in the Sangre de Cristo in early to mid summer, those afternoon t-storms were like clockwork. And, yes, when it dried up, it really dried up. So much more pleasant than the humidididididity 'round these parts, though. :)
Yeah I think Texas gets even more humidity than Florida. When I was in San Antonio in September, it felt like I was in Orlando in June.

Most definitely. You've seen me comment about my DH 2 brothers married to 2 sisters (codependency nightmare) Think of the DNA of those spawn from those pairs of parents. The DNA has to bounce to near siblings having the same genetics with both the mother and fathers. Oddly my favorite relative on that side, which really isn't blood is the father of those 2 sisters that married into the family. While others run around making things as complicated and as stressful as possible-Papa and I would just sit off to the side together and observe the nutty. We being each others salvation. He passed 2 years ago and I still really miss him.

I put my house back together today. Livingroom and Kitchen, no signs of Christmas yesterday. Sadly didn't finish the familyroom. Hopefully tomorrow. It is all that stuff that needs to find homes. Can't put it away until it has a home.

That's sad . . . :( I'm just the opposite: I drag out Christmas for at least another week! :joyfull: Christmas decorations still up, I put on the tree lights every evening, look at the (opened) presents underneath, look at the Christmas cards I put up on the wall, etc. I'm even drinking coffee now from my Lenox Holly design china cup and saucer. Even the Christmas china set won't get put away for another week, at least. (But, I suppose you're probably more mature than I am, and can face the fact that Christmas was over 2 days ago. I think I'm stuck in a 4-year-old child's time warp mentality, when it comes to post-Christmas. :p ) Some of us never outgrew our childhood; either that, or maybe my "second childhood" is even more fun than the first??! :hilarious:

Good morning

Good morning to you, too! There are 5 pancakes in that stack; I can't imagine how anyone could eat 5 of them in one sitting, but they sure look good . . . :hungry: Bacon goes with everything, too. ;) Looks like a cappuchino to go along with the breakfast feast. I'm just having a small container of plain yogurt (boring).

Very happy to hear that Christmas with your family was so enjoyable and relaxing. As for your gift, I've never tried those infusers, but have been seeing them in stores for years. What scent did you get?

Twitter is a dangerous place for some....

I was reading today the Neil deGrasse Tyson Christmas Day tweets. Wonder if all the attention is what he was craving on his Thursday?

Luckily, I haven't a clue who that is, and don't follow Twitter at all. Regardless of who he is or what he said, I assume you're probably right, in the sense that he craved attention. If that was his goal, why couldn't he just talk to a friend or a family member? Maybe it's just me, but I'll never understand the attraction of Twitter.

Hee hee . . . only a sap would fall into this trap, and I think I sort of :cautious: fell for the bait--but depending upon how you view it, maybe not so much? ;) You know how stores always have the big after-Christmas clearance sales? Well, yesterday, I thought I'd just stroll through Kohls and Target, just to "look" . So, I looked and looked, and ended up at registers in both locations . . . and somehow ended up spending a total of $100 yesterday!

However, in retrospect, one should not look at the $100 spent; rather, the fact was that I "saved" money yesterday, correct? :D Yes, it is creative accounting after all. I think the $$ figures look good, from my perspective.

I'm with you on the second childhood. As long as we pay our bills and tend to our responsibilities, who says we can't keep the imagination and wonderment of a child? And it's better because we can buy our own toys!
