not here, infact, I've seen that joke being pulled by americans more than anywhere else (in social media sites).
Aka anyone who likes to help, share their stuff, etc.. (very akin to the real jesus teachings). Were mocked down as "being a commie".
Infact, the most used joke is how if Jesus was alive today. He would have been shunned for being a "socialist" or 'communist".
Must be because a lot of people in my inner circle aren't on social media. Learn something new I guess.

I'm going to WDW in May for 4 days/3 nights. I had (already) decided to not buy the water parks option, and now I'm glad I made that decision. It's not that I'd ever go on those two scary slides in Blizzard Beach anyway, but the problem is that with those two blockbuster attractions down, that would mean that there would be a ton more people using the OTHER attractions there -- which would really increase the lines. No thanks.
Are they shut down? We won't do those rides, but you're right...it will make everything else WAY busier. We wouldn't have bought the add on, but since European tickets include them, we'll use them. The kids are really excited about it. The only thing I don't like about the 14 day ultimate tickets is that if you take a rest day, you lose that day in tickets because they have to be used within 14 days of the first entrance. So you can't just go to a water park one day and still have a park day that you can use at the end of your trip. I've read that the water parks are so busy by the afternoon that you can't really do much anyway, so we might just go in the morning and then leave at lunch and head to a park or to DS. But if the main attractions are down so everything else is super busy, I wonder how much fun we'll even have at the water parks!

The cheeses I use varies but cheddar is usually in it along with a decent amount of Gouda. Last night I had a quarter bag of mozzarella in the fridge so I put that in and some sharp white cheddar too. I have also put a little Parmesan in too. Fontina is an interesting idea, I will have to try that @figmentfan423 . Growing up my mom always used Velveeta, but I don't usually buy that any more.
Would you mind PMing me the recipe? I'm in Gouda country. I MIGHT be able to find cheddar at the specialty cheese shop in town. They have mozzarella and blocks of parmesan, so it's possible.

Too short is anything above the chin, my hair is really thick so even though I would love long hair it just feels too heavy. So I usually keep mine around chin length. Kudos to you and your daughter to donating your hair!
DD and I both have really thick hair, too...and it grows FAST. We donated 3 years ago in September. I chopped mine to just above chin level and it's almost all the way down my back now. This will be my 4th time donating, and DD's 2nd. But it is REALLY heavy when it's long. I usually wear mine in a bun to keep it out of my face, but it hurts my head by the end of the day. I'm looking forward to cutting it.

Yes, those two major slides are shut down. I pasted the WDW Magic's story on this. It is from a thread in the Parks General Discussion section of the forums.

Yikes! Beware of what you believe in social media sites. Caution, if stuff is said like that to so many of us we would not like you as much as we do. Sure we have our weirdo's and yes they do find their places to spu that type of stuff but I've never ever heard that. So I'd be careful in judging the whole lot of us by some social media sites.
I think my joke was not understood correctly or I'm getting strange vibes... because the weird part is.. I've seen these kind of jokes everywhere where political stuff is shared from time to time. Including the jesus joke (which was made from a famous political cartoonist).

I hear you! DD wants to make lipgloss for her birthday party with her girlfriends. I looked EVERYWHERE for eye droppers and couldn't find them. Even the pharmacy lady looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked if they had them...like she didn't even know what they were. So I went online to look and the only place where I could buy loose eye droppers (without flea and tick meds for pets) has a 39-90 day delivery time...apparently they have to come from china.
These travel times usually means its by boat.
very cheap, but gods.. do they take a lot to arrive?
The best part is: most of the time, you do not pay taxes in my country if it comes by Boat.
No idea why.

It's pretty rampant online, actually. If I understand correctly, most people here aren't on social media sites, but almost everyone else I know is, and it's all over the place on facebook. This election has really brought a lot of fear to the forefront and it's almost like a witch hunt. I've been called everything from communist, to socialist, to anti-America, to a traitor for saying that I have friends who are Muslims or friends who are on welfare. This is a pretty politics-free zone here in this thread compared to social media, so this isn't really a strong example of the atmosphere online. Since we're not supposed to talk about controversial things here, we're a bit sheltered, which is really nice...not to have to worry about it. But it is really prevalent elsewhere, so I see where he got the idea. And I didn't get the impression he was talking about US calling anyone a communist, but society in general, because that IS the feeling...at least among the people I know.
Thank you! and yes, that is exactly what I mean.

There are some seriously ridiculous things going on online.
I think one of the funniest things.. was Palin trying to discredit Bill Nye. Famous TV/online educator.

For so many years being called communists was a serious charge. Now it is just used as an insult to imply that one is primitive, backward or out of touch with how democracy works. It is usually used (especially in memes) as a comical insult and not to be taken literally.
which is kinda ironic, because the most progressive people with tons of acceptance and desire to help people.. are being the ones called "commies" by the "old guard" or fundies in certain states o_O

DD and I are going to donate our hair this year, but decided to wait until AFTER Disney so we can tie our hair back in the parks. It's so hot and humid there and chin length hair is not practical for us. We want to be able to get it out of the way...so we're waiting to chop it. How short is really short for you?
short hair can look very pretty in some persons.
<-- has a thing for pretty petite gals with short hair. (like Natalie Portman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Briana Hildebrand, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Williams ,Milla Jovovich and That Ucranian bodybuilder that looks gorgeous with short hair)

Hello everyone, our final total of snow was 3 feet. It's still lightly snowing. We worked off and on from 9 this morning until 3 this afternoon, shoveling out the driveway in case hubby needs to go to the hospital; with all this activity and beer. Nothing. Except , a couple tired old people. We know that this is good for us, as we took our time and only picked up small amounts of the heavy wet snow. We did hear tree branches breaking while we were out. Tonight, until tomorrow morning, light snow. Then, Tues and Wednesday, another 3 to 6 inches. "That's nothing." I did make us some no flour peanut butter cookies. They are really good and keep , you going. I've never done a flourless cookie. I was so surprised they turned out so well! Off to watch a little T.V. and rest. Doing some ketchup, too! Have a fun evening all.:joyfull:

We had a cool breeze though so I stayed in ate shirt and stretchy capris. No flip flops yet either, with the breezy my toes stayed in socks. It as perfect weather for a long walk though. I enjoyed a refreshing seltzer water after the walk, cool, bubbly, and no sugar or calories!

We had a couple periods of clouds but I think got to 79 today, it is supposed to cool down to mid-60's soon. But that is better than snow. It was also a perfect day for smoking meats...hubby smoked a pork butt today. In fact it is still not ready, and it smells so good (I'm so hungry). I'll have to post some pictures of it for you to see if it gets a Texas stamp of approval.
I want your weather so much. Our warm next week-end has disappeared.
