No, it was significantly worse!
Yeah, I don't think I would have passed that class had it not been for the fact that my partner knew what he was doing. Nice guy, he was from Korea, his English wasn't great, his handwriting was atrocious, but he was brilliant with math, science, and engineering. He did the drawings, made sure everything was correct, and I made sure everything was neat and wrote the reports. I think he liked that I was pretty undemanding and trusted that he knew what he was doing and that I was willing to write the reports. And he explained everything to me, which I needed because I was clueless. I don't remember how much our bridge held; I think it was at least five pounds, but he earned that; I just helped.

The thing is when referencing Harrison's part in the "Celebration" is that I didn't notice any difference in his delivery then he usually has when being himself. Every talk show he has ever been on his personality is evident. He doesn't get hyper about anything to do with his own work. He down plays it and, I feel, does sincerely see it as his job, not his calling. He has never come across, to me, as pompous, in fact, exactly the opposite. That is either very good acting on his part or just the way he is. He is tremendously humorous in a subdued manner (what we used to call a "dry sense of humor). So, during the show I never really read any deep lack of caring or overreacted exuberance. I saw him as himself, doing his job and being pretty cool about it.
His response to asking if he got emotional when he dressed up as Han Solo again...

"No, I got paid."

That interview was pretty hilarious.

That was what I was saying... he is anything but pompous, he just says what he is feeling. It's actually a good move for an actor and his choices of roles over the years has been good because he isn't stuck with one memorable character. He's as famous, if not more, for Indiana Jones as Hans Solo. To me it's that understated lack of reverence for his own work that makes it easier for him to stay aloof from a specific character. Didn't he just tell El-Trumpo that Air Force One was "just a movie".

Doesn't matter to me what his motivation was as long as he did the job he was asked to do. In most of his movies, TFA included, he was great and believable. That is all we should ever ask of a movie actor. How can he let himself get involved emotionally? Next week he will be doing something else totally unrelated to Star Wars. He probably doesn't need the money though, but, can see that promoting it and the Disney projects will be lucrative and if he truly hated it, he can afford to tell them all to take a hike. So he likes it enough to not feel that his reputation will be hurt by supporting it in promotion. Whatever his reason no one is happier then I that he decided to revive the roll of Hans... it made the movie in my opinion. :)
