We camped in the Rockies, for over 30 years, and we never missed church held at the Rocky Mountain Campground, different pastors working toward graduating seminar, it was always so majestic and soul cleansing . You could even take your pets, I could never get over how, Freddie, our little dog that resembled Benji, was so good during those services, it seemed he would sit still and listen. The rest of the camping trip, well let's just say he would go a little wild!
I think there's just something about being out there in nature, in the Mountains, with the echo and all the nature sounds like stream water, or leaves rustling, birds...and the combination of that and the music...it was so cleansing and peaceful. And the retreats were lovely because it was just for us...we weren't performing and there was no pressure...it was just pure enjoyment of the music and of making something special together. I imagine the church services would have a similar feeling...sharing something with others, but not on a huge scale...just sharing that special moment and knowing there's nothing riding on it. Nothing depends on that moment going perfectly.

I love to read too. So nerds unite! I'm not into anything too gory but some mysteries are good. I do love my Danielle Steel books too, they are like literary candy. Easy to read, predictable, but very entertaining.
I read a couple of Danielle Steels, but I found them a bit depressing. At least the ones that I read...it was a constant barrage of bad things happening to the main characters. But I found Nora Roberts, and I also like Sandra Brown. But I read memoirs, I read historical fiction, I read Sci-fi and Fantasy, I read romance, romance/suspense, classics, literary novels, YA and even some middle-grade....pretty much everything but thrillers. I also read the books my kids are reading. Which reminds me, I need to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid...both my kids are reading that series now. DD breezes through a book in a few hours.

I don't know, last night I had cod and DW had perch and both were amazing good! :hungry:
I just don't really care for fish. I'll eat shellfish (scallops, crabs, mussels, used to eat shrimp, can't anymore :( ) but never cared for fish. I go to the UK Pavilion and get a side order of chips. No fish. And before you ask, yes I have tried it, and no I still don't like it. ;)

I think I'm one of a very few who sleeps in on a Disney vacation and never misses rope drop.:joyfull:
Probably. :P

There are times on my Disney vacations where I'm not up until 10 am (and neither is the rest of my group). During the summer, if I really need to sleep and we're just going to the pool for the morning, 11 am happens.

I just don't see the point anymore of exhausting myself. If I'm too tired, I won't enjoy the trip and will probably just end up giving myself a migraine and/or making myself sick. Which is why we sleep in every now and then.

We will never know if it was an error or a financial gamble. The storm was very well predicted. They all have meteorologists of their own or under contract just like each airline does. This storm was apparently difficult to overlook its magnitude. Humans.
Agree with you, still annoying that the whole "better safe than sorry" is always stomped in favor of "cost cuts and money saving risks".

I do remember the water from the fountains in MK tasting kinda' sulfery in the past (but, not enough to keep me from drinkin' it - it was hot out, and it was water ;)), but, other than that, I don't remember ever having any issues with the water on property. :)
Its actually interesting.. last time I was at POR, they had a very strong taste of chlorine..
old key west had minimal flavor...
The strongest taste was on Magic Kingdom.
