He may be cute, but Ms. G (a more reliable authority) would disagree with him about his early spring prediction!

I love those salty little buggers, but, I just learned recently that they're very high in purines, which raises uric acid levels, which causes gout.

Pirates.
Ice cream Erin McKenna's Bakery. Very yummy, kind of like a fudgie, not smooth like ice cream, but tasty with a coconut background, goes really well with her chocolate chip cookie. Cost 4oz. 6.25$ including the cookie.

Ah, you haven't seen the ride pic I posted a little ways back?
I also was in a rush to get my license, but in my case I probably should have gotten more hours under my belt before taking the test. Not that I want to promote the Asian stereotype, but I was not a confident driver back then.
Although after college I started driving way too fast and got many speeding tickets. So once I got tired of going to traffic school, I started driving more sensibly. I may have "bumped" into a few cars, but I have never gotten in a serious accident either.
\
Amazingly this doesn't surprise me in the least.
I got my DL right after I turned 16 and got a job (at a local go-kart track - what an awesome first job for a HS boy...!). The job was a stipulation of my folks so I could pay for the rider on their insurance policy, although I was going to get one anyway...I wanted my own money...!
Passed the written and driving exams with flying colors first go round...including parallel parking.
When we went downtown 3 Sunday's ago to walk (day before the foot/leg craziness began) I had to parallel park (OK, I didn't really have to, but, I wanted to see if I still had it). Even DWifey told me I couldn't get in that space...two moves, and done. DWifey said "Smarta$$."
I still got it...!!!![]()

On the accident front, my first was when I completely totaled my 5-1/2 mo. old 85' Mustang GT in a one car rollover DWI accident.
That was over 30 years ago, I was 22 stooooopid years old at the time.
How I stumbled out of the wreckage with only minor injuries, I have, and all the emergency personnel, had no clue either...
The car flipped side to side and end to end several times.
The fact that I was the only person in the car, didn't run into anyone else and destroy lives, and walked away, I took as a sign and gift from God. Haven't gotten behind the wheel after any alcohol since...I make my beer runs and stay home, or DWifey drives.
Anyway, the only other accident I got in while I was behind the wheel was very minor and deemed not my fault. The other drivers insurance company coughed it up for both cars.
Also, I've never ever gotten even one speeding ticket...a coupla' warnings, but, never an actual ticket.
Not too bad for 37+ years of driving...!![]()

Right now, since the kitchen is being remodelled, the dining room is being used for storage. The doors are closed and rubber banded shut so the cat can't get in. Well, a while ago, I started wondering where the cat was. And I found that little twit in the dining room. She found her way in...and couldn't get out.![]()
You were definitely blessed to walk away from the accident. Although I've read that may be because the alcohol relaxes the body so much that it literally just bounces around in the car while a sober person would tense up which results in more injuries. I could be totally wrong, though.![]()
Yep, I've heard the same thing many times over the years. Let's just say, although I never intended to test the theory the first time, it definitely ain't gonna' be "tested" by me ever again...!![]()

I got my license at 16 too on the first try, I probably should have failed the test. I couldn't parallel park, drove straight in a turn lane, and merged into traffic when I shouldn't have. I think the guy, an older guy felt sorry for me or something. I remember that there was a WWII plane show at the airport so he had me pull over by the planes and we looked at them for awhile and he told me all about the planes. Oh well, I am a decent driver now. I still have never parallel parked.
