Is anyone else watching Grease Live? Hubby wanted to watch it and I didn't care what we watched. I'm actually impressed with it. I'm enjoying it a lot more than the live shows from NBC.

Nope. Got too much homework to do.

Not that I am a fan of Grease, but I might have watched it just for Julianne Hough. And Vanessa Hudgens. Her father died yesterday and she's still doing the show. Poor girl.

My DD agrees with @StarWarsGirl95 Torture, I tend to agree with them. If I am going to patriotic I'm heading to Epcot-American pavilion.

I agree. I like American Adventure, but Hall of Presidents? Bleh. And I generally like history.

Strangely my DS loves the Hall of Presidents unlike the rest of us. My DD uses it as a bargaining chip to do some attraction he doesn't want to do.

A cruise would be fun too. I was very impressed with the Disney cruise line, but that was the first cruise I had ever taken. We are debating an Alaska cruise for 2017, but the Disney prices are so high I am considering Norwegian. I have had some friends cruise on Norwegian and be very impressed (and they are picky people). On Norwegian I could do a 14 day Alaska cruise with a balcony for a little more than a 7 day Disney cruise.

Sweetpee_1993 (a very seasoned DCL cruiser) recently posted about their first NCL cruise. Apparently, it rocked their socks...!

Orlando may be a big city but doesn't really have a great public transportation system. It does have a public bus, I think it is called Lynx maybe. But compared to cities like New York, Chicago, or even Paris or London it isn't a city that you can just hop on a train or bus easily.

As for driving a car, things are pretty well marked. I get a little nervous driving in new places too, and driving on a different side than you are used to would freak me out a little too. You can always decide to rent a car when you get here once you get the feel of things.

Is your hotel a total lock? Maybe you would want to be near Universal/Sea World for a few nights, and then stay at a Disney resort. That might solve some transportation concerns. I don't know how many nights you are planning where but if your hotel had transport to Universal and Sea World but not Disney then you would only have to worry about transport to the first hotel and to Disney. Then Disney would take you to their parks and back to the airport. And if your finance wants to have a few drinks, it would be easy to have a few and then climb on a Disney bus. Just a thought. I guess it depends on budget, but the values at Disney aren't too bad. We have stayed at all levels of Disney resorts and really like staying at the Pop and I like All-Star Movies the time I stayed there. Whatever you decide I'm sure you'll have fun!

Yep, we've stayed at Pop once (just DWifey and myself) for our 20th anniversary trip, and twice at All Star Music in family suites with our kiddos. Enjoyed 'em both. No problems.

About 5 years ago, I finally tried a turkey leg. It tasted o.k., but it was waaaayyy too big for me. Plus, you either walk around with it, (but you can't go on rides, or in a gift shop with it), or you just stand someplace and try to eat it. If I could have cut some of it and put it on a plate, I would have liked it better (still wouldn't have finished all of it). But just standing up and eating a turkey leg without veggies and something to drink, was awkward to me.

Like you said, you try it once, and then never again!

I always enjoyed taking the Magic Express, especially from the airport to the hotel. There were so many happy people on board, and it was a very festive atmosphere. Had some fun conversations with other guests sitting near me on the bus.

That's one of our favorite things about traveling to WDW, or anywhere for that matter...we like striking up conversations with folks.
But, we're also fully aware some folks aren't like us, so we're very able to gauge, from second one, if they're up for it.
Also, a lot of times, folks engage us first.
Lord, have mercy on 'em...!

We are switching soon to Downton. I told hubby he could make us popcorn if we could flip from grease to downton. It's really a win-win for me.

Yes, if the situation warrants. Like I said, we definitely know when to disengage, or not engage in the first place. We're just very social. For better or worse, it just seems to be in our Texas/southern blood...!

They certainly are more intimate venues. Our Blackhawks affiliate team in Indy is very quaint too.

I always try ("try" being the operative here) to stay above the fray, but, alas, being human, it's pert near impossible all the time.
When it comes right down to it, this form of communication can be "misconscrewed" very easily. I know I never come here with any malicious intent, I just wanna' escape from some of the daily real life carp, and have some silly decompression time.
And, yes, I'm sure my problems are probably nothing compared to what you and @MOXOMUMD are going through, lately, but again, I'm human (I think ) too. Sorry I haven't commented on y'all's situations before this, but, I just make it a habit to try to stay out of folks personal lives, one way or the other, if at all possible.
I truly hope everything settles down for both of you ASAP.
Maybe I'm just stupid, but, I don't think anyone here ever words their posts to hurt or belittle another member. I just think we're all trying to be a bunch of silly geese, and sometimes we misunderstand.
Again, just an unfortunate consequence of this form of communication.
