Oh oh!! How bad did you hurt yourself? How is DD's foot now?

It is a little sore this morning but think it will be fine. DD is healing. She can actually walk some distance now but if she pushes it it aches. So she is getting there. Thanks for asking. I didn't have rock salt so I did dump table salt on that spot so it would dry up before our next ice storm we are expecting.

Yeah there are some like the big dinner shows (hoopdiedoo) that have a longer cancellation time. But most say 24 hours. We really wanted to fly Iceland Air into Denver..that was cheapest when we started looking at flights. But now the prices are better to Orlando. It decreases the time I'll have with my dad, which is why we were trying to shift the Disney part of the trip 2 days later, but we can't do that, so I'm going to have less time with my family. Boo. Unless prices to Denver go down again. We'll see, but as I told hubby, we're going to have to eat SOMEWHERE that night, and I scheduled a non-park Disney restaurant for that night so we don't have to waste a day of tickets just to go to a restaurant. If he doesn't want to do anything that day, fine, but we still need to EAT, and we won't have access to a car to leave the property unless we ask my friend to come drive us, which I don't want to do. So we have to eat SOMEWHERE on Disney property...the only other option really is to eat at our resort, but Shutters is not on my list and I don't want to waste a dinner credit or cash for a meal that is not exciting to us. So I can't imagine needing to cancel unless something happens with our flight from Denver to Orlando that day, in which case I guess we have to pay the cancellation fee.
If you do come to Denver, wave to me as you fly over!

When we were little we played the license plate game on our trips to Texas. We made a list of all the states and Canadian provinces and when we saw a plate from there it was checked off. The closest we ever came to getting all in one trip was 49 states (no Hawaii) and only two Canadian (Ontario and Manitoba). We play that game with my daughter now on our trips to Indiana.
I loved road trips back then. I looked forward to getting to a hotel, going to eat. Then coming back and settling in the room and turning on local T.V.

I'm glad that you are getting better and DD is too. Sorry for the coming ice storm. That's way worse than snow.
