It is a little sore this morning but think it will be fine. DD is healing. She can actually walk some distance now but if she pushes it it aches. So she is getting there. Thanks for asking. I didn't have rock salt so I did dump table salt on that spot so it would dry up before our next ice storm we are expecting.
I hope you can find some before the next storm! My dh stocked up back in October and tuned up the snow blower. Maybe that's why my winter isn't bad so far. :hilarious:

Poor guy won't know what hit him if he takes it to court. You never know what a judge will do, and I am betting they will laugh at his blaming you for your daughter getting a cold. Obviously he has nothing REAL to implicate you with, and they will see his shenanigans for what they are and the judge will most likely be offended by him wasting the courts time with trivial matters that could have been dealt with out of court by a more mature person. He's acting like a spoiled child and it won't do him any favors.

I agree on all counts! You guys rock. :D

Can you request immigration papers? I have no idea, but I know you can request military files. I read somewhere when I was doing genealogy that a lot of immigrants back in the 1800s, when my relatives came over from Germany, didn't know how to spell their names. So the workers at Ellis Island just spelled them how they sounded, so you always have to do phonetic searches because the same person's name might be spelled differently, depending on who was filling out the documents. For example, the name Miller, was originally Möeller, but because we don't have the ö and it sounded closest to Miller or Muller, that's how it was spelled. So in some documents, it might be spelled one way, and in another in a different place. Osborne/Osborn/Osburn/Osbourne is another one that is commonly spelled several different ways.

I'd like my Grandma's original Immigration papers and my GrandDads too. But hers departing port and ship doesn't match up anywhere near someone immigrating from Ireland, it is so odd. You just know there is so much more to this story and it is curious. It does make ya wonder what the old lady was hiding when you'd get answers like, why do you ask? Why do you need to know that? We'd like to take the papers and have them framed and put them in my sister's law firm. These papers have always been in my Aunt's safety deposit box.

A few more wonderful Normal Rockwell moments. Your family looks like they should be on a greeting card.:joyfull:

Hahaaa...! Thanks! :)

Tried to find some silly family portrait Christmas greeting cards, but, no dice.
However, I did find this bit of silliness...! :hilarious:

I Call Judas!

The problem with framing your family Christmas portrait like the last supper is that one person gets to be revered as Jesus and one person has to be Judas. This great Awkward Family Photos picture was submitted by their reader Robert.

;) :)

Kinda reminds me of the movie Joy Luck Club, where the daughters learn about their mothers' and grandmothers' pasts. I agree there's a story there, but most likely a painful one.

Do you get peanuts? We get a drink and nothing else. You must be in first class!;)
Our first time riding in Southwest first class they gave me a beer (free) while we waited for the plane to fill. Then after take off they had a basket with bags of chips, pretzels, muffins, cookies and mixed nuts they came around with. My daughter and I chose one thing and the stewardess said we could have more than one of whatever we wanted. :jawdrop: They came around with that basket full THREE times! That was for a two-hour flight to WDW. The stewardess told us we could take a few things with us which we ate while on MDE, we didn't even eat lunch that day. The next first class flight after that we had the same experience and each one after. Then when we got back to flying coach I missed that basket every time they passed out animal crackers. :(

For long-haul flights I can only do first class now, but I use frequent flyer miles, so it's a bargain! I always think of the Seinfeld episode whenever I fly first class because it's so true. :hilarious:
