I like the meatloaf at Primetime better than the Chicken. And I like the Pot Roast more than the Meatloaf. The sampler platter is a good choice. All three of the above. All three on one platter.

Oh my...!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry:

Thanks for asking! No, not completely. I went in for my one month follow up only to be told that I had a small infection on my Cornea. This is a bad time of year to be going to places like the VA. They are short handed and it is painfully slow. I had a 1pm appointment for Monday. I arrived at 12:30 and it was almost 4pm before I was seen. My blood pressure was on alert. I was given some antibiotic eye drops and told to come back in the next morning for a "quick" check to see if it was working. No hassle, shouldn't be any holdup, I was told. Arrived at 10am and was finally seen at 1:30pm. Then I was told that the infection was diminishing and now I have to return tomorrow (New Years eve) for another follow-up. That one is at 7:30am. Hopefully I will be out of there by the time the ball drops in Times Square.

As far as vision is concerned, that is quite good. I now test to the point that I no longer need glasses to drive and because the new lens is so much clearer then my old worn out natural, yellowed, ones my night vision has improved amazingly. I still am waiting to see how my Prostate Cancer is advancing (mid January) and if it is still at slow, slow speed, I will schedule my right eye at that point. Way to many things going on all at once. Aging is such a sweet experience.
Sorry you are having to go through so much at once. I hope your cancer is slower than a snails pace. Take care, and be well in the New Year.

That was my one big surprise when I went to Europe. If you recall we took a lot of trains. I wasn't used to using trains and was a little apprehensive about it, but, I was sold within a few minutes. Just being able to see the landscape, people and movement that is lost at 30,000 feet, is mind boggling. I was sitting there looking out the window the entire trip(s).
I just fell in love with trains too. I hope to take another train trip this summer. A four hour trip. It's so relaxing, and I love looking at the scenery.

I wasn't thrilled with scouting as a kid. My son made it through one year of Tiger Cubs and he was out. My DD made it through Brownies and thought the whole system was whackadoodles. She was out. I really liked Indian Guides & Princesses better. It is a smaller organization and little of earnings going to corporate. Though they were forced to drop the Indian and are now Adventurer Guides & Princesses.
We lasted a year in scouts and it wasn't our thing. I loved all my years in 4-H.

If you have never seen Osborne Lights I'd arrange around that. While I don't love as much as the original version it is a fantastic show, not to be missed.

This is where I was last night

A mile of walking paths of beautiful lights.

Beautiful! :)

Very much reminds me of our Trail of Lights here in Austin's Zilker Park. Years ago, when the kiddos were little, it used to be a drive through display. Attendance became so high, it has been a walk through for years now.
And, get this...NO JOKE...they now offer a Fastpass...! :hilarious: It gets you in an hour before those that haven't purchased one.
I posted a bunch of pics last year, but, unfortunately, we didn't get there this year.
Need to fix that next year. :)
Wonder how far in advance We need to make the Fastpass reservations... o_O :D ;)

A spin off of 4-H is now Naturalists though it is still part of 4-H. Some of Northern IL is missing the components of 4-H so The Naturalist Club is more popular in Urban setting. I'd say 25% of our students are or have been Naturalists. One year they tagged all the Ash Trees in the Community so the town could keep an eye on the tree health. Another year they built and installed bat houses to help with mosquitoes. Sadly nobody told the bats to move into their new digs. Lots of sparrows living in the bat houses. My DD stairwell to her apartment though wa recently 'home' to a bat as was the stairwell in her Dorm. :cautious:

Looks good to me!! Hubby could probably bake if he had a mind to, but it's not his interest. He loves chopping veggies and such, so cooking is more his thing.

Yep, the strudel is pretty much the only thing I bake. Although I do crave sweets from time to time, it's probably less than your average person. I almost never eat dessert. On our last 2 trips to WDW, with my CM discounted DDP, I probably ate more desserts at a meal out (every one ;)) than I had in the previous decade.
At family gatherings, the strudel has always been the one sweet-ish (that's the other thing about it people really seem to love - it's not too sweet, just the right combination of ingredients) treat I would save some room for after all the savory BBQ, sides, etc., from the main meal.
That family recipe strudel disappears quickly wherever we take it...! :hungry: :)
