So DD and I went to check out this event at the Queen Mary called CHILL. It wasn't quite what I expected, but still good fun. One of the main attractions is The Ice Kingdom, which consists of ice sculptures depicting A Christmas Carol. Here are some pics (before we first entered we were told that with a temperature 9 degrees inside it would be possible for the glass on our cameras to crack. I was almost afraid to enter after hearing that!)

It's the annual Christmas miracle. Every year around this time oil is a bit lower but gas jumps.

On the way home from Houston this evening, in Tomball, Texas we saw it as low as $1.52.9.
I'm startin' to wonder how far $0.29.9 is away...!

And the damage to our bod's at @donaldtoo and my age after landing on our butts all day, well...not so pretty. We are at the edge of almost being eligible for grandchildren.....insert fainting smiley face here.

Heck, I'm gonna' teach the grandchildren the art of snowboarding...!!!!
Or, maybe that would be, "Oh my! They're taking grandpa down the hill on a 'snowboard'" ...!!!

Ugh, I experienced that "ride" after I fractured my spine while boarding.

Oh wow! That is not good. The Ski Patrol ride is never good. Fortunately, I've never had to take one...yet. Seen many that have, though.

This looked like an amazing event @catmom46.

The sculptures were definitely very neat to see, although it was the shortest part of the event, since it was so cold we were only in there for 10-15 minutes. The ice tubing was a big hit with my daughter, plus she enjoyed the dance/singing shows. And she got her face painted.

My back is fine now, as it happened over 15 years ago. But I can still feel the compressed disk. Interestingly, I was told that my injury was similar to what doctors see in elderly patients. For example, when they fall off the toilet. That did not make me feel better.

Ever since I discovered the manga "Miriya & Marie". I been waiting and hoping for the manga to finally get an English translation knowing it's only in Japan and Brazil.

I wish a whole lot more things were translated from Japanese to English...

There's so much stuff I want to experience like games and manga but cannot because of the language barrier

We have a vhs/dvd player that gets used often. Especially for those movies I like on vhs but not enough to buy again on dvd.

Until this year, my home's Blu-ray/DVD players and VCR got barely any usage. Of course, that all changed because I LOVE Disney movies.

you can always buy a TV card for a computer and capture the video on to a computer.. and then burn into a dvd
