Just turned it on. The only singer decent was Reba and how come all annoucers seem fake?

The "parade" was ok and I think that tori kelly sounded ok too. The parade just isn't as good as it used to be, I liked when they actually showed parts of the parks. I was also surprised that hardly any time was spent on Disneyland, considering it is still in its 60th.

That sounds like a great tradition. I miss chex mix. My mom always made it at Christmas, too...that and her poppyseed bread, and 3 types of cookies: Cutouts, spritz, and sandies. I miss all that stuff. No one in my house likes sandies but me, so I haven't made them most years, and chex don't exist here and there's nothing remotely like it.

Maybe we need to set up a good exchange for you. We can send you things you can't get and you send us fun stuff we can't get.:)

I feel your pain. My fever is gone and my throat stopped hurting, but I can't stop coughing!!!! And I still don't have much of a voice. I hate being sick! Hope you feel better soon!!

I hear ya, my cold is finally feeling better. I still have a cough too. I read your post about not singing in church and I too was disappointed that I couldn't sing last night. But I knew I couldn't stay on key and I didn't want to subject any ones ears to that! So I just whisper sang.

Congrats! My dh is still on the hunt for the beer he had at BOG. I had to admit as a nonbeer drinker it way pretty good.

What is the beer? I have a friend that is a liquor distributor. Maybe he'll know where in your area if any. The closest we could find the wine I love from Epcot-Germany was South-West Wisconsin, so every year when my DH DS went to Plattville they'd bring a case back. Quarter of the price too.

Awesome! It was in the 70s here a bit damp but not bad and the little bit of bad winds we got early died down so one of the poor little fishes went on the grill. I checked out the weather for the end of next week and it will be great again! New Year's Eve BBQ at my house this year ham and sausages, smoked mac and cheese, smoked baked beans, salad and coleslaw. RSVP by Monday THNX

I'm in for the baked beans alone. Will they be made on the smoker?

Please tell me what this is and where I can get it. It looks very happy!!! Is it peanut butter? And..some sort of cake underneath?

Disney Food Blog:
Where can I get the chocolate Cinderella Slipper Dessert?
The Cinderella Slipper Dessert is available at the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary Resort, and Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom. It is usually white chocolate, but Cinderella’s Royal Table occasionally offers it in milk chocolate.

Ordering a Chocolate Cinderella Slipper Dessert
The Chocolate Slipper Dessert is created exclusively by the Grand Floridian Bakery and Contemporary Bakery in either white or dark chocolate. Cinderella’s Royal Table orders are now given a choice of white or dark chocolate. If you are not given a choice, ask for an order form. When ordering via phone, a choice of chocolate is not always available. The white chocolate version seems to be the most common presentation of this royal dessert at Grand Floridian restaurants. Current pricing is $12.50 plus tax plus mandatory 18% tip.

Served at our Vow Renewal

When ordering, request a message inscribed in chocolate to be written on the plate. Popular messages include “Happy Anniversary”, “Happy Birthday”, “Congratulations” and even “Will You Marry Me?”! Special orders for slippers must be placed at least 48 hours in advance via Disney’s Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253. Note that the Disney Dining Plan does not apply to this dessert. When dining at a Contemporary Restaurant, call private dining at the Contemporary: 407-824-2955.
