What a nice surprise when things like that happen. I remember a couple of years ago my husband and I were in the liquor section and he was in the rum aisle and I was in the beer and I spotted a beer I enjoyed in Hawaii. I guess I squealed and then I started calling my husbands name to come quick. He thought something was wrong with me. But no it was just excitement over beer!
Congrats! My dh is still on the hunt for the beer he had at BOG. I had to admit as a nonbeer drinker it way pretty good.

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
NOT!
At least, not White Christmas-wise.
We tied a record of 82 yesterday, and our predicted high for today is 77...! :)
Awesome! It was in the 70s here a bit damp but not bad and the little bit of bad winds we got early died down so one of the poor little fishes went on the grill. I checked out the weather for the end of next week and it will be great again! New Year's Eve BBQ at my house this year ham and sausages, smoked mac and cheese, smoked baked beans, salad and coleslaw. RSVP by Monday THNX

Is that a picture tube console television set?

Edit...no it's got to be a hutch/cabinet of some sort.
We inherited my dh's grandmothers tube console. It still works and has a really good picture. We recently passed it on to a relative who just got their first place as it had storage and looked right at home where it went. Our last tube television is getting replaced today.

Merry Christmas! I still have no singing voice so church was hard for me last year. It goes against my nature to not be able to sing in the Christmas services. But we had a lovely evening with the whole family and now we had a late brunch this morning, I've made brownies and stuffed mushrooms for our Christmas dinner tonight and the kids opened their presents and they are building a fire in the outdoor fireplace thingy....don't even know what it's called in English. Hope you are all snuggled warm in your homes with your families and having a great time.

VERY CLEVER!! :D
Hubby did it. He is an engineer and has access to larger printers and paper. So I picked out the pictures, sent them to him, and he put everything together. It worked really well. When they finally got to open the last window, DS had already figured out the puzzel, but DD was stuck on the fact that we had said we were going for 5 days, so she was thoroughly confused. Finally she got it and was SOOOOO excited, particularly about the water parks. She really wanted to go to the water parks. DS was just really proud that he figured out the puzzel. He didn't really care how long we are going, just that he knew what the puzzel said!!
