Just wondering, and you can just tell me to mind my own business...but what does he plan to do when the divorce is final? What does your lawyer think about him living there? I hope for your sake the plan is to have him move out as soon as possible. I do think that you must be a really nice person to live there when it seems (to me) he doesn't have a legal right to be there.
Years ago, I had to live with ex after we broke up............... for I think 6 months or so, because affordable apartments are so few and far between in NYC.

That was a lot of fun, especially when he decided it was fine for him to bring his one night stands home on a pretty regular basis.

I was devastated at the time, but in retrospect, so lucky to have gotten out of that situation.

Plus, he hated Disney. And at least Phil tolerates it. Slightly.

I'm glad you got out of that situation and have a better partner. I can't imagine having to live with an ex once we had broken up, that would be torture. Especially if they were flaunting one night stands or a new relationship.

I think that if my partner hated Disney that would be a deal breaker. My husband wasn't a huge fan of Disney when we met but he had his own obsession (Star Wars) so he got how I felt. He was on the fence about WDW because he didn't have fond memories of his two family trips there, but I made (yes I forced him) him go on our honeymoon and he was hooked.

I have no idea what his plan is. With my mom's help we were going to offer a pretty large payout just to get the divorce done quickly but his attitude didn't change plus he demanded Right of First Refusal which is if the custodial parent is unavailable to care for the child, the other parent gets first opportunity to care for the child. He wanted the time limit to be 3 hours which is ridiculous and most judges would make it overnight. He also balked at the child support stipulation we added that said if either parent decided to go to court for child support that parent would be responsible for the other's attorney fees. The fact that it's a problem for him indicates he was going to take our money and turn right around to take me to court for child support. So a payout is no longer on the table.

My lawyer wants him out as much as I do, so we served him with a 60-day eviction notice last week. If he's not out by then we obtain an unlawful detainer and then the sheriff will make him move out. Hopefully he'll get smart and leave voluntarily, though.

I've had to live with a couple other ex-boyfriends after we broke up as well, but not this long. 6 months seem so much longer! :depressed:

I see, well here's hoping those 60 days go fast for you!

Shrimp, now you're talkin'! I'll take both please. What's the margarita on the right?

Hahaaa...!
There were so many different margaritas on the drink menu that DWifey couldn't make up her mind, so she told the waiter to surprise her. If I remember correctly, it was some kind of strawberry, lime, cactus juice concoction. It was pretty strong (as was mine ;)) so I ended up finishing it.
It was good...! :hungry: :)

I can relate on the heavy backpacks thing.
I'm a bit of hutched up (a bit bent back) thanks to having to carry like 15 Kg of school stuff to the university (including a heavy laptop) for years.

What I brought home from school daily vs what came home with my kids was ridiculously different and just kept mounting. Their literature book alone was massive. Eventually the size and weight of books also came into play when picking new curriculum. Text that came also with online for home usage is a big plus. We have not but many of both the elementary school districts along with high schools have gone to issuing students an ipad and all their text books loaded, no real books. It is also a great solution when kids are out ill. iPads come home every night and teachers can just copy paste homework to student email. While my DD was at her University about half of her text books were loaded to her iPad that she chose over her laptop. The cost is about the same to the district but you are not dealing with lost or damaged books or the weight of them. Give it 5 years and I hope it is the norm.

I wish our textbooks were on iPads, it would be less hassle for me too. Hopefully within a few years.

Yep, although not quite like Cali., winter is also pretty non-existent down in this part of Texas, the vast majority of the time.
'Posed to be in the 80's again here in the next coupla' days. :)
Well, I dunno about you.. but I went to Texas(Houston) like 7 years ago... right near next year.. and It was definitively freezing. Zero degrees a few days or lower.. but no snow.

I find Epcots margaritas very strong too. Last longer, the upside of how expensive they are.
