Good morning everyone. Day off for me! (Although I cheated a bit and wrote a quick report in bed this morning.)

I spent last evening watching those cheesy Hallmark-type made-for-TV Christmas movies. This is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know they are corny and predictable but there's something about them that really gets me in the Christmas spirit and makes me feel good.

What are your plans for today? This afternoon, my son and I are going to the arcade at the mall. Should be fun.

Update, jammie day was over about 3 hours ago, the snow stopped. We have 24 hours to clear sidewalks and driveway. Hubby and I have been shoveling the last 3 hours. The good thing...took a nice hot shower and back in fresh jammies. Dinner of roasted veggies and black forest ham, with cheese for hubby all done. Now, I'm going to look for a good movie. Have a great evening everyone! xoxo:joyfull::joyfull::inlove:

You have to clear your own sidewalks? Bummer! Our city has little sidewalk plows that come around.

I know!! And if there was ANYTHING like it, I would substitute, but there's not much variety here in cereal. We have cornflakes, cheerios, some stores have rice crispies, but not all of them, All-bran, and Tresor.

There are like a thousand types of cereal here but most of them taste the same to me - like twigs or sweetened twigs. I never understood why the cereal aisle is the biggest.

Yes, indeed, Bets--you just brought me back to 1985, when my mother and I were thrilled to ride it. I still love it, but I'll never forget how my jaw dropped when I saw it moving for the first time, and then we got to ride on it. I was so mesmerized by that whole space age "feel" about it.

I still get so excited by it. I agree it is thrilling.

And yet another change in plans. The attending physician that was scheduled for my Cataract procedure went into labor and cannot be there today. (talk about being inconsiderate to a veteran)... So I'm back to a Friday appointment. (assuming with a different attending) Don't they realize that changes in schedules is a major life problem for the elderly?

They'll know the difference and I wouldn't feel right LYING that I made them when I didn't. That's just not right. I absolutely could NOT go buy store cookies then sell the trays as product I made. That's bad business and a reputation ruiner and I take a lot of pride in my work.

That would be awful! And store bought cookies never taste like homemade to me. I wish I knew someone like you I could order my baking from.

Just to let you guys know, I might take a short break from WDWMagic since I just recently got my latest 3DS game "Yo Kai Watch". I been playing that game since Friday night and it's alot of fun once you start getting used to how you fight various Yo Kai (Look up Youkai if you don't know what that mean). Youkai are basically Japanese ghosts. I'm planning on watching the english dub of the anime sometime this year. So I'm just letting you guys know I wont be on this site often for now but I will come back to commenting more often when I give the game a break. Don't worry, I will comment on a couple posts a few times a day.

My favorite character so far in the game and anime is Jibanyan. I have a thing with cat characters.

Sounds fun. We will be here when you get back.

It was one of my favorite rides when we went there in...1989 ish Or was it 1986ish? I don't remember, but I thought it was AWESOME. I still love it.

No eating as we bake. :joyfull: I need 18 trays for gifts and I have orders for 15 trays and 6 boxes so far. Boxes are double trays. I freeze some dough at the beginning and then some cookies and cupcakes I freeze up until I decorate them. Rice Krispie treats and marshmallow kabobs are done the day before I assemble the trays because they dry out.

The only ones I guess I do make extra of for myself are the peanut butter kiss cookies but instead of kisses I put little chocolates shaped like Santa on top. By the time the holidays are over my daughter and I are done with chocolate until Easter. :D
Yum...I always LOVED the peanut butter kiss cookies and my mom never made them. Someone always made them for the Christmas parties at school, so I got my fix, but they were one of my faves!! I need a bigger freezer so I can do stuff for the Christmas Market in advance!

Do you know that if you go to the supermarket, (after Thanksgiving), they might have all kinds of decorated Christmas cookies already made? You could bring home some boxes and put them out on trays with doilies (doilies are advanced, so if you don't have those, not to worry). Everyone who comes over to your house will think you baked all the pretty cookies yourself! :p :D
But then the house doesn't smell all yummy and festive!

So do you have an Etsy-type shop to take orders? Or is it people you know? Sounds like a good business for the holidays!

Labour can take hours and hours. Can't she do your surgery between contractions? :D
