@StarWarsGirl95 @Cesar R M Help! My screen started flickering a few days ago, and it is driving me nuts! I'm still on windows 8.1, but I have the upgrade software for 10. If I go ahead and upgrade it, will that stop the flickering?
The flickering is usually caused by:

  1. Incorrect configuration on your video card. Which gives the wrong frequency or resolution to the monitor.
  2. The monitor cable is not correctly plugged in and secured (check the back of the monitor and the cable to the graphic cards).
  3. The drivers of your video card are corrupted.. You might need to remove them and reinstall them.
  4. Your monitor might be dying.. If the issue appears randomly and not always, probably its not the monitor.
  5. Your video card might be dying. The connector might be damaged and this cannot be replaced.
You need to first see which video card you have and check the cables of your monitor.

Okay, I just did the Doctor's visit, was in the office for hours. To make a long story short. I love my Doctor, his staff in everyway is awful. I was poked four time in both arms, and both hands. No blood draw! We waited in the exam room for over thirty minutes, and no one came to take the blood. We went and asked if they had an emergency, no they just forgot about us.:mad: Now, with no blood draw and not getting any prescriptions, I have to go back next week for another attempt at blood draw! If they can't get it out of my arms or hand. I have to have it taken out of my neck. This has been upsetting and stressful. Thanks, so much for listening and letting me rant about how bad the medical system is getting! By the way they couldn't get any blood out of hubby either. But he only got poked once, after my ordeal they realized enough is enough. Sorry about this, guys...The rant is over and I'm good now. You are all great listeners. On to read better posts than mine. ;)

I'm a pick-your-battles kind of mom. I wasn't allowed to choose my own clothing or anything, and I let my kids do that because...what's the harm? So they go to school with a crazy outfit with stripes AND polkadots. It won't kill them. As long as everything is covered that should be covered, it's ok by me. There needs to be a good reason why I say no to something...like it not being safe, or being insensitive. If I say no, my kids know there's a reason.
I did almost the same with DD. I laid out three outfits, and let her choose, for kindergarten. First grade she got to pick her own. As long as it was decent. But, when she was in Cheerleading and Dance team, in high school I wasn't so sure about the choice of their outfits. She was in a school play, Peter Pan, and the outfit looked too skimpy for me. She loved performing , and did local theater after school. So my silent objection didn't seem to harm her.

You can try the following. Try them in order. If one does not work, move on to the next.
1. Make sure cable is secure and tight.
2. Unplug your monitor from its power source and plug it back in.
3. Reset your monitor to its factory settings (You'll have to figure this one out using the manual that came with your monitor)
4. Change the cable to your monitor. If this works, your cable went bad.
5. Try plugging your computer into another source (extra monitor, TV, etc.). If the flickering goes away, you need a new monitor.

If none of these work, come back and we'll talk, but I suspect one of these should work.
I love having computer experts on here. I know nothing, but I have hubby come and read suggestions, and he does try them. For my computer problems with this sight, it turned out to be the ads!

Good news: Finance professor didn't assign any more homework.
Even more good news: He scheduled the test for the day after my surgery when I'll be out. More study time! Woohoo!
Bad news: When I come back from my surgery, I'll have a Spanish test that Monday and the Finance test sometime later that week. Oh well.
I hope you can get an extension in time. After my last surgery to have a begin tumor in my neckremoved, I was on so much pain medication, I hardly knew my name! Be sure to tell professor's.:cautious:

Ugh, sorry. I hate it when that happens. The only reason I still go to my allergist is because he is one of the best in the state. Minus a couple of his techs, his staff tends to be so rude. That, and they definitely talk down to me. Yes, I have been going there since I was 8 years old. That does not mean that I should be treated like an 8 year old when I am in fact, 20 years old. My favorite was when they were telling me something about my health insurance that I knew was completely wrong. They tried to tell me I was wrong and that I was too young to understand this. I told them that I have a Maryland State Health Insurance Producer's license and know what I'm talking about regarding my policy. They double checked and it turns out I was right. :banghead:

I feel like this on a fairly regular basis...

I've let them know. They've known for weeks. They've been pretty understanding so far. Finance professor told me I can take the test in his office at a later date. Getting work for some of my other classes done early.
