I have a girlfriend stuck there right now.
She keeps posting pics on FB.
She's hoping to get out tomorrow, but they're telling her Thursday ... if she's lucky.
She had just finished a 1/2 marathon in Las Vegas, and was on her way home when she got snowbound.
Just goes to prove that no good ever comes from vigorous exercise.

If Buffalo is anything like Southern Ontario, there are a lot of trees that still have a full canopy of leaves under all that snow.
This extra weight weakens the branches significantly, and mark my words, the next big December/January windstorm or ice storm that comes will bring those limbs down.

I'm watching Buffalo news right now.
The plows have been pulled from the roads. The National Guard is coming in. And four deaths directly related to the storm have been reported.
Thankfully my friend is hunkered down safely in an airport hotel.
